Demonology Warlock 'Legion Artifacts' Transmog Broken

It seems that it is currently not possible for Demonology Warlocks to apply their ‘Legion Artifacts’ appearances to their weapons via the transmogrification system. Previously these appearances could be applied over otherwise non-compatible weapons, such as applying a staff transmog while wielding a 1h weapon and off-hand, as long as you were utilizing the spec associated with that artifact, however for the past 2 months this has no longer been possible for Demonology Warlocks and the Skull of the Man’ari. It appears that the ability to correctly apply the ‘Legion Artifacts’ appearances were broken during the implementation of a recent patch.

When attempting to apply the transmog utilizing the ‘Legion Artifacts’ drop down menu, the transmog noise will play however the item does not change in appearance and no gold is withdrawn.

I have submitted multiple bug reports regarding this, in addition to opening a ticket (US79717171) however no feedback so far. I am also aware that there are at least two other topics listing this as an ongoing issue however it does not seem that Blizzard has provided any feedback that they are aware of this issue or that they intend to fix it in the near future.

If this was somehow an ‘intended’ change, could we please have clarification as to why our spec has been singled out in losing access to our artifact appearances? As it seems the majority of other classes are still free to transmog their artifacts over their weapons freely (i.e Frost Mage’s are able to correctly transmog their ‘Ebonchill’ artifact appearance while wielding a 1h weapon and an off-hand).

If this is not intended, would it be possible to at least receive acknowledgment that Blizzard is aware of the bug and possibly a rough time-frame of when they intend to have it repaired?
