Great. Had the bug where the Fallen Avatar wasn’t breaking the floor a couple weeks ago, had to go extremely slow to make it work, and NOW I’m running into the door closed bug… thanks, Blizz.

This seems to be tied to how fast you kill the first boss. The door closes after he appears and unlocks with him dying. So if you kill him before the door closes there is nothing to trigger it opening. Just wait until the door closes to kill the first boss.

Fix this pls blizz omg more than 1 year bugs
11/5/24 on Heroic. 2/3 relics collected. Doors won’t open.
Same here, door was open in m+ (killed first boss slowly) and closed on heroic (killed boss as soon as he was there)

how are we 2 years into this with no fix. the quality of this game is nonexistent

11/14/24 just happened to me on mythic as well.
Same. First time I’ve gotten the bug in years, too. That last patch seems to have dredged up a lot of old bugs.
Side note: props for the FF4 reference.

11/28/24 , cleared first 5 bosses, doors to demonic inquisition are stuck shut, they need to add in a lever by the door that can be used if the first bosses are all dead. Will admit i did kill first boss too fast, didnt know… from now on ill wait it out
12/7/24 - can confirm still bugged. I ran through it on normal no problem, then went in Heroic, and the Demonic Inquisition door is shut. Cleared everything. Please fix -_-
Update: I just ran this Raid on normal to complete the quests that unlocks direct access to the chambers and defeated Goroth too quick resulting in the doors remaining shut. I logged out of the game for a couple of hours then back in and the doors were found open.
This. I have run ToS a few weeks in a row and never had this issue. This week I used a TWW trinket to one shot the first boss and then this door glitched. Not coincidence. Stupid bug, but the workaround for now is to let this first boss take a few breaths before kill him.
Just experienced this today. Doors to inquisition are shut despite all other bosses, prior to Maiden, being dead on mythic.

EDIT: SOMETHING i’ve noticed doing this on alts = kill the 3 infernals on first boss. Haven’t had an issue since doing this
Had this bug happen, waited until the next day and the doors opened. Unless you experience this bug on a Monday you are not locked out for the week.
