Demonic Consumption changes

Blue Post just went up:

In the current build up on the PTR (Public Test Realm), a few changes were made to the Demonic Consumption level 100 talent:

- Any imp that the Demonic Tyrant consumes now has a chance to grant you the Demonic Core buff. If your Tyrant consumes six imps when summoned, you have six individual chances to get a Demonic Core buff applied to you.
- The damage buff to the Demonic Tyrant from consuming the Wild Imps is now much higher.

One additional note about the Demonic Tyrant:
- In an upcoming build, the Demonic Tyrant will also extend the duration of any demons summoned from the Nether Portal level 100 talent.
So tested it on the PTR. Nether Portal changes don't seem to be worth it. The summons just don't do enough damage to make it worth it. It was a pretty significant dps loss every way I tested it. Demonic Consumption seemed to potentially be a nice damage cooldown, but even when I got consumes with ~8-10 imps out it didn't make up for the damage of losing Sacrificed Souls and the time delay of waiting to use it when a good number of imps were out. I could get in the ballpark of damage without it, but it was so much more work and prone to bad demonic core streaks which made it so it was difficult to get those 8-10 imps up at the same time and juggle dogs/vilefiend on top of it to get the duration extension, and that was standing at the target dummy. I never noticed getting a demonic core proc from consumption at all, so I'm not certain if that's working.

That said, there is a new trait called Baleful Invocation which increases Demonic Tyrants Demonfire damage by 996 and generates 5 soul shards when summoned on the 415 gear. I couldn't try the gear, it's on the new vendor, but possible with those things that it might be a competitive option. Meh.
I still think SS will be the best talent on that roll. Demonic Consumption seems nice but that create a problem that Destruction Warlocks have that we would be only good for burst damage every 1.5 minute.
Buffing other talents and nerfing others seems to be their go to tool of choice. It's why I hope they just ignore destro completely at this point minus little buffs here and there if we need it. Its boring af to play but I know how to make it work now and I don't want them fking it up.

I feel the same about demo right now. I perform well, and know how to make it hum. I hope it doesn't jacked up from the qq laserbeams.
