My thread is simple currently we have a means to abandon our imp, voidwalker, felhunter, succubus, incubus and felguard to get a different name but the option to abandon any variation on those base demons and get a different name for things like fel succubus, shadow succubus, wrathguard, shivarra, fel imp and voidlord was removed at some point from the demon trainer so I’d like to get it back.
Previously when we had the https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Grimoire_of_Supremacy_(Mists_of_Pandaria) spell that actually upgraded our demons to stronger demons we could go to a demon trainer and say abandon my shivarra or my wrathguard like any other demon and get a new name but that’s not how it works anymore and I’m not sure when that changed or removed especially since everything is in the barbershop now demon customization wise and they are more like skins than anything anyway but again I would like the rename option for alt demons back.

You wouldn’t have to no one has to go to the demon trainer and use said options, doesn’t mean they can’t exist for those of us that would or do use them.
My main issue comes from that we used to have this option as Warlocks then at some point we lost it, I legit just noticed last night when I went to change one of my newer Warlocks shivarra name because it’s Del-bahar and I don’t like it and unfortunately the option of abandon shivarra isn’t there anymore which is why I wrote the thread.
Wasn’t it bugged in that it was changing the names of other demons? I remember something like that happening to me. But I can’t remember the details of it.
Maybe it’s bugged and they disabled it for a while? Hopefully they fix it.
Also: I want to name my own DK ghoul. I know, off topic. This just reminded me.
It’s actually just that the option to change names of any demons outside of the base version of everything isn’t available at all now which is again why I’ve requested to have it back.
I’m supportive of this, I don’t have a Death Knight but being able to name them or change the name wouldn’t hurt anyone.
Yeah, I get that. I just vaguely remember changing the name of Incubus and it somehow changed the name of my blueberry, I think? I can’t remember. I just know I was annoyed and then they removed my Observer, so I just stopped playing my Warlock altogether.
wait wait…so if i took my succubus to the barbershop and restyled her she doesnt change her name anymore? is that what you’re saying? if true this is great.
Nah if you use the shadow succubus or the fel succubus the name still changes, however you can’t go to the demon trainer anymore and abandon them like the base succubus to get a better name which is why I made the thread earlier because all versions of our demons should have that option since we can’t name them ourselves like Hunter pets.
Which is fine and reinforces the main point of that’s why it would be nice to have abandon option for all demons so if you don’t like a name on a demon regardless of the model you can get one that you do like.
