Demon Hunters Representation in 3v3 Arenas

arenamate the website(cant post links) has a chart that shows the representation of all the classes in 2200+ 3v3 arenas

DH is FAR below mage, warlock, rogue, priest, monk and paladin.

What’s even scarier is there are only 24 demon hunters in the top 500 3v3 ladder.

So what I’d really like to know is why DH received significant nerfs for shadowlands.

So where are all the nerfs to these other classes that are dominating the ladder?

Oh thats right rogue is still god tier on live and beta -_-

Because they have the Yasuo effect of being a flashy, high mobility, pub stomper. They also have a simple dps rotation in pve which people think carries over to pvp as if you don’t have to think at all about using utility.

They are really good against players that don’t understand pvp which is the majority of the player base. I’m fine with pretty much all the nerfs except for the soul rending out of demon form being 5% leech instead of 10% when hunters can get 15% passive at all times. Also warlocks heal for double what dh does on live anyways but they don’t get that community perception.

all the pvper want dh nerf hard more…

The problem is that they only focus on a 1v1 but other than that DH is mid tier, we are only “good” in arenas right now because Gushing wound

The funny thing is that we’ve never been as op as people think. Yeah we’re strong in casual content, but so are many other classes.

Actually skilled players can tear apart a DH in 3v3 arena easily + Mythic raids only bring us along for the magic damage debuff.

People can complain all they want about DH, but their complaints don’t hold any water at higher levels of the game where performance and balance actually matters

Aye, you see it all the time in duel videos like on Dalaran’s channel. People thinking we’re op because of how we perform in an area of the game that is and has always been irrelevant, 1v1.

Casual content is literally all you do. The reality is you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

The class is plenty strong in arena. Far better than warrior. The problem is, it doesn’t have as much synergy with another class as a rogue does with a mage. Plenty of classes have that problem. I’m not a fan of the SL nerfs but I’m sure they will tune the class to be just as strong if not more. Otherwise Blizzard will see a mass exodus of DH players.

I mean… if your bar is set at rogue mage, you’re going to be hard-pressed to find any composition with as much synergy.

That said, havoc + frost dk is looking really strong. UBC is your primary burst. Having a class that can spam grip and keep targets in a close perimeter is insanely good for that, and makes it much easier for us to apply Aoe MS.

Well that’s blatantly untrue

Wouldn’t hold your breath, unfortunately. The solution to our problems would be more active abilities. It’s unlikely we’ll see new abilities introduced, so… yeah…

More like leech being restored or higher burst damage.

I’m comparing warrior to DH based on my personal experience. This may be different for people above 3k. I just know that this season I simply have not found a good solution when facing DH teams in 3s. Maybe lock war teams?

Funny you mention this, Yasuo and Illidan are voiced by the same guy lol Liam O’brien.

Rogues and frost mages easy counter

Leech needed to go. We need active healing abilities, not more passives

< constantly had issues with bfa horde quests because dh have no magic self heal button. Hurray we have leech…really not that great. Course im havok not vengence but litterally all the things that give me decent survivalbility are getting nerfed on sl so i prob wont play this toon much.
