I agree, let the hunters spread, let me sacrifice everything

Blizzard was planning on making every class/race combo available, but now they have either reversed on it/will take their sweet time to do so.

For a Vulpera to have tattoos…. I tolerate the foxes but shaved foxes? That is just wrong and, and, and…No.

i would say the same for druids, honestly, kinda terrible to be limited to 2 races …

I agree with how long ago Legion was, there should be more races available to it. Humans and Orcs tend to be willing to sacrifice anything while trolls and dwarves not so much. Gnomes and vulpera because maybe they’d be willing and adorable little demon hunter bouncing all over the place. But there should be some lore consideration in which races. Other than Vulpera what did you have in mind?

I can already see tiny Venge DH tanks bounding through M+ and I love it

Why shaved? Just have the tattoos be burned into their fur. Pain is sacrifice to the DH’s no?

I will die on the hill that highmountain should get demon hunter via remaining feltotem who were given the ultimatum to join the demon hunters or die.

That is branding…

The base classes, yes.
But they have made it very clear that there are at least three classes not considered to be base classes: Death Knights (per the fact that Earthen cannot be Death Knights - although this might change, unlikely, but might), Demon Hunters, and Evokers.

Unless something extraordinary changes, this is unlikely to change.

I want a melee fel using Orc.

So yes please.

I want the DH mogs to be available for all, at least leather wearers. :o

Maybe this will be trickling change for when it can make sense.

The first demon hunters was obviusly nightelves, followers of Illidan. Why they picked up bloodelves is unknown but perhaps they where cut off from reinforcements and Kael’thas forces where in the region. I suppose he took in deserters from this army. Former soldiers that wanted to fight the demons rather then joining them. Other such deserters formed the Skryers.

So where do we go from there? Who have suffered from the Burning Legion enough to join the Illidari? Orcs and draenei comes into mind and nightborn.

So what happens when the work is done? Once Bolvar Fordragon was on the throne in Icecrown the Scourge threat was reduced to lingering Scourge forces and Cult of the Damned. So the Argent Crusade decided to lend aid to the fight against the Burning Legion on the Broken Isles. That cost them their leader Tiron Fordring but they should recover under new leadership.

So what will the Illidari do when the Burning Legion is defeated? They could do what the Argent Crusade did and aid in the fight against another enemy. They could also partly disband and have people start up their own schools of demon hunting and thus spread the art to other people.

I really see nothing specifically “anti demon” in the design of demon hunters. What they do is to use fel energies to empower themselves. However you can build a strong anti demon force around paladins and priests using the Light as a power source.

The demon hunters need a new cause to motivate their existance. The Deathknights are in a similar situation. To reproduce now they would need volunteers or they would be no better then the Sourge themselves. They could probably recruit from the Forsaken with little effort but after that, it will be difficult.

The restrictions don’t need to be lifted, they gotta stop adding this trash lore to replace old lore.

Monk?

Also they stopped with paladin, druid, and shaman saying those classes are a long stretch. So I don’t know where the claim is coming from.

I wish for my troill to turn into a demon again. RIP my old demonology troll. He used to be a demon first.

I don’t remember the exact quote and not going to go looking for the exact thing but what they said were something to the tune of “We want all classes to be available for all races, but it is going to take some time figuring out some of these. Like what would a Mechagnome Druid be like?”

I want to say it was at the same time when they also confirmed that they want to give Dracthyrs more classes to play.

Earthen can be monks.

Warcraft III, Demon Hunters level 6 ultimate disagrees with you about “who used to be a demon first.”

I suppose that you had a troll warlock roleplayed as demon? That would be the closest you could get game term wise.

Lore wise however we have troll culture and religion where trolls are making deals with powerful LOA’s. Most of these seem benevolent but some are rather nasty. Some of these are technically not even standard LOA’s. I can definitely imagine trolls joining the Burning Legion worshipping their leaders as they where LOA’s. I can also see trolls siding with the Naruu or the dragon aspects in a similar way. This would also include Ysera now residing in Ardenweald.

I will always say it, they already have the perfect candidates

Fel orcs and ma’nari(the red draenei), make then demon hunters, they will have unique characteristics since their fel forms are different from the normal ones

they just refuse to remove their elf supremacy bias

We need an expansion with demons to explain why it happened. You can’t just have a bunch of new demon hunters for no reason.
