So I know this is probably either an odd topic or one that has been done countless times, but I’m curious what others think on the subject.
In lore, how do you feel Demon Hunters rank up in power compared to other classes?
I feel maybe one of the strongest there is. Being enhanced to pretty much super human strength, agility, some magical abilities while also being a bit more resistant to magic, enhanced healing factors.
Also the fact that a demon hunter has pretty much lost everything so I’d imagine they would fight a bit harder because they have nothing to lose besides their vengeance.
A lot of classes need something else to help them fight. A mage runs dry on mana, maybe the light doesn’t answer a paladins call right away, hunter runs out of arrows or pet dies, a rogue is spotted or runs out of poisons. Just examples I’m thinking of.
But a demon hunters body is still enhanced. So atleast I would think more wise demon hunters would be some of the strongest in the wow universe

On a base level compared to every other class? Yeah, probably the strongest.
Chaos magic is arguably the most destructive force in the Warcraft universe. It counts as every magical damage type and physical damage IIRC for gameplay purposes so it chews through all defenses. And a demon hunter can channel it with ease from bonding with a demon soul.
A warlock could’ve spent years translating a demonic tome to learn different spells, but probably only master part of what the book has to offer. But by bonding with a demon soul, all of a sudden you can read and speak demonic as if though it were your native language. A demon hunter could plow through that tome much faster than a warlock could to learn its secrets.
All magic in WoW is addictive, but fel magic is basically steroids. So in addition to being a beefed up spell-warrior super soldier that can move faster than the eye can see, demon hunters have to constantly suppress the urge to kill everything around them. And when they finally get to let loose? Hoo-buddy.

Seeing Illidan one shot a prime na’aru and proceed to catch High Exarch Turalyon’s sword bare handed… I’m thinking they are top tier.
