I was playing around with my Transmog options last night on my DH and settled on this white and gold combination i have on right now. Which looks great when I’m standing still, but once the green flame effects start up and demon wings show up it kind of ruins it.
So I was thinking about how cool it would be to have gold eyes/tattoos options like Illiden almost had before he final flashed the puzzle piece. Maybe glyph that gave us angel style wings instead of Demon wings. Or a glyph that changed our green fire to Golden fire.
Thoughts?

I know. But we saw Illidan damn near become exactly what I am describing. So it actually has a lore based reasoning behind it.
He wouldn’t have been a demon hunter anymore had the naaru succeeded in ‘fixing his scars’

The lore reasoning is that Illidan is actually the worlds greatest druid (or would have been). His golden eyes are his latent and natural druidic power. He was just to rash an impatient to finish druid training and went the easy arcane power route instead. Our demon hunters aren’t natural druids, who then turned to arcane power, and then turned to demonic power. So, it wouldn’t make sense for us to work the same.

Personally for Demon hunters i like the whole “Jumping around and flying like a mofo” aesthethic and tmog my guy to look like a free fire demonic assassin, which i think goes well, B: A Elite covert ops agent, or C: Fel darth vader or D: a Pirate. I don’t really have any light mogs, but i do have hoof legs if i wanted to make a satyr.

Rather than suggesting just absolutely violating the lore, why don’t you just make a paladin?

Because Paladins have limited mobility and because they are also boring and lame.
Whereas Demon Hunters are extremely mobile, fun as hell, and have some of the coolest abilities/animations in the game.
I lean toward the blue-purple end of the spectrum. Void colors.

Illidian shouldn’t have murdered Xe’ra and then maybe a holy themed option for Demon Hunter would make sense.

Would you be okay with the options being available for others at least if they chose to spend the necessary gold to get the glyphs to do it?
He wouldn’t be a demon hunter then though, literally his entire toolkit is fel stuff.
