Go tell Illidan that, he flies in his TBC fight and also flies during Legion at the Temple of Elune.

This is the worst excuse they ever give us for not giving demon hunter flight form. If they’d only say it wasn’t a priority in their workload I’d accept it, but I will never accept that the wings on our back render us functionally the same as chickens.
They only need to make some kind of demon possessed player character archetype in [[REDACTED]] and give that thing flight form and they’d be priming us ready for flight in a SNAP. Until then tho, no, we have to hear the chicken slur once more.

Humanitydh is the one that said that, and I’ve touched on it before, Illidan does fly. Maybe not every Demon Hunter thats a part of the Illidari, but if daddy Illidan can fly, then so shall we in his image. I dont get where people get the lore on Demon Hunters, as Baator said, Illidan flies during his fight in the Black Temple raid, he is also shown as flying in the cinematic for TBC. If we have wings for “glide” clearly all we would need to do is just flap and we have flight.

According to the Lore the PC is at a similar level to Illidan to the point where we cannot die since we have a demon soul like Illidan, it is canon that the PC is the closest DH to Illidan in power, it would not be too much to give the PC quality of life with a flight form or ability similar to Soar. 
The only impediment is Blizzard’s will to do it, not lore.

Illidan can fly in William King’s book, in cutscenes, and he flies during the BT fight.
I don’t know of any examples of demon hunters trained under him specifically flying within lore, but that doesn’t rule it out either.
I think that flight can become possible over a long period of time as the Illidari become stronger.

Well, as stated by Baator, we are also the strongest of the Illidari. So much so, that we have been left with his Warglaives and labeled as head of the Illidari in his absence. I think it is only fitting that us, the player, have the ability to be like Illidan in that regard

The character that seems to represent the player in the book, Vandel, wasn’t quite capable of flight.
The book stops within the TBC time period however. Between that time and Legion most DH were imprisoned by the wardens.
I have no idea what the events of BfA were (skipped it), but between the power gains of Legion and Shadowlands, I think it would be reasonable (from a lore pov) to have short periods of self powered flight mid-expansion in dragonflight.

Illidan can fly and Gul’dan can transform, but i hate to say it guys, we arent getting our respective wishes in DF. There is always 11.0 i guess…

They should at least do a content patch to let DH fly like dragon riding. I would give anything. I would honestly never log out I would just fly all the time

Would take less than a day to put that in the game. The reason that Legion was so popular was all the new stuff that made each class feel important and different. Powerful. Unfortunately it’s seems like homogenization in all aspects of the game seems to be their new status quo and the suffering player count reflects this.

If they won’t give evoker’s flight despite that every evoker npc in the game can fly, there’s no chance they’ll ever give demon hunter’s flight.

If lore mattered Rogues wouldn’t be able to blind us, gouge us, and stealth would be useless. Blizzard should adhere to lore.
