Demon Hunters are now witchers

Since the legion is no longer a organized threat, do you think demon hunters now go around from town to town, killing what ever demons or monsters haunt the locals In exchange for coin? In effect they live the life of a Witcher?

In Legion Tyrande herself vouched for them to be accepted into the Alliance so that says a lot about how they would started to be treated in Kaldorei soceity.
Something similar happened with Highborne mages who up until recently were viewed with a degree of distrust but after the events of WoT the rest of the kaldorei cheered at their arrival and are now fully integrated with their kin.
My hopes are that now that Kaldorei suffered this huge blow, Demon Hunters will once again be a functional part their society so they should not be relegated to be bountyhunters for living.

I am not certain Demon Hunters are of the same equivalency to Highborne. One uses arcane and one uses the magic of demons.

It’s a pretty classic narrative: the person who was trained to be a killing machine, trying to find their way in a world now that the enemy they were created to fight no longer exists.

I’m surprised Maiev isn’t on a solar wind kite chasing down Illidan and putting him and others back into their green amber coffins.

I figured the main bulk of them would be roaming the universe cleaning up the stragglers from the war with the Legion to make sure demons never rise as a threat again.

I don’t think so.

Argus was a mighty blow to the Legions war machine and Sargeras has left them leaderless.

However countless worlds are unaccounted for, which could be reigned over by demonic legions and warlords.

If one strong warlord emerged the Legion could easily be reforged as a threat to Azeroth and the universe.

Plus Warlocks can still rip open portals and cause mayhem so it wouldn’t be as if Demon Hunters would be bored.

I’d have thought teldrassil and it’s loss would make night elves less tolerant, not more.

Or on the other hand they might end up using extreme measures to ensure that never happens again.

You’d think wrong, given Maiev was forgiven for trying to kill Malfurion, and the Highborne were more integrated with the other survivors after Teldrassil as well.

Maiev and the Highborne are not demon hybrids with fel magic coursing through their veins either. Didn’t Malfurion banish his own brother in WC3 just for having become a demon?

I always saw them as kind of like Batman.

Batman wouldn’t put the cowl up just because all the villains are rounded up in Arkham. He’d be waiting for them to get out, or new ones to throw in there with the rest.

The Legion is no longer organized, but suitably-motivated demons are still out there, so they’re still ‘on the hunter’. Expanding to more things? Sure, might as well, but probs prioritizing demons as a top-tier threat.

Tyrande defended the Illidari while Malfurion was still cautious of them at Varian’s funeral. Tyrande was also the one that overturned Malfurion’s bad on Night Elf Mages.

So what you’re saying is Tyrande is the more progressive of the pair…Also when Malfurion is always like: “You can’t do that” because he thinks he has authority over her she just goes “Watch me” and does it. Petty? Sure, but I enjoy Malfurion being put in his place.

I honestly don’t care what you think about Malfurion, but, sure, I can agree you are petty.

I was saying Tyrande was being petty.

You have to keep in mind that it was Tyrande alone who ruled her people without Malfurion.
She gave him privileges as a Co-Leader but at the end of the day she has the last say in all matters.
Think of Malfurion as a Vice-president.

To be fair, he didn’t ask if you agreed or not.

Witcher School of the Hawk = Order of Embers.

Witcher School of the Kraken = Outriggers

Witcher School of the whiney incel = Illidari
