Will demon hunters and death knight be able to level in classic after the level squish in shadowlands? Or will they be tied to their specific expansions? I don’t see a problem with it, I’m sure all classes are going to get their abilities at the same pace to deal with “balancing”. I’m curious to see how this is all going to play out.
In classic the leveling is way slower so im wondering how Shadowlands classic is going to differ from “retail classic” servers in terms of leveling, the way abilities are earned and everything else.
Will there be a mass dungeon que while lvling for all the dungeon instances in the game, or will q’s be tied to the expansions we’re currently playing. The same with pvp.
My brain is doing things and i can’t find information on this.
I don’t see why demon hunters or death knights would be playable in classic… I think what you see is what you get and was kind of the idea
They will be tied to retail. There’s very little chance they add them to classic. At least not anytime in the foreseeable future. But if classic taught us one thing is that a “wall of No” won’t stop them if they think it will be for them in the long run.
Edit: Oh if you mean just leveling in the old world like any other class then yeah.
I think OP is meaning that will they be able to play in the current 1-60 range (retail classic maps) for new classes.
Which they will, they’ll just be like any other class.

When OP says " Classic " I think he actually is just referring to Azeroth, not Vanilla.
He is asking if DK’s and DH’s will start at level 1 now and be able to level in Azeroth or will they still skip all of that.
Chromie will give you options Vanilla is one of them, yes.

Are you asking if these classes can level in Azeroth zones? aka “classic” zones.
Or if these classes will be playable in the Legacy server that is Classic WoW?
If it’s the latter, no these hero classes have no reason to be in Classic WoW. They would strongly serve an imbalance and the only Horde race that can be Demon hunter is not playable at that point of the game.

Yeah but what’s interesting to think about is will retail Classic servers be live along side Shadowlands version of Classic? Are there going to be 2 different types of classic servers?
There isn’t going to be a Shadowlands classic. They might make a BC and Wrath classic though
I’m pretty sure Vanilla is still going to be Deathwing’d if that’s what you meant.

Exactly i feel like this is cata all over again.
Cataclysm’s meat of the content was Deepholm or whatever.
The revamp was a fresh spin and update on vanilla questing and etc.
I just wish a blue could get in on this because since we get to choose a expansion through chromie and level with the updated abilities from bfa plus we’ll get everything else in the spellbook, (thank you blizz for that btw, can’t wait to cast pom with greater pyroblast in shadowlands). Im just confused as heck from all this
New players will be forced to level through BfA. Existing players can choose to level wherever.
I think Death Knights and Demon Hunters should be in Classic. But only as gnomes.

What’s there to be confused about?
New players will do the new starting zone, then BfA, then move to Shadowlands.
Existing players with regular races will be able to choose their starting zone, then choose to level wherever, then move to Shadowlands.
Existing players with allied races will bypass the starting zone, then choose wherever to level, then move to Shadowlands.
So if you’re an existing player and choose to use a Death Knight or Demon Hunter, you will be able to choose to level in any expansion, or just hop around the way we do now, until you get to level 50 and go to Shadowlands.

My understanding is that every new toon regardless of class will start at the same level and then get to pick and chose what expansion they want to level to 50 through.
If it works, it will perhaps make up for this silly squish idea.
I am anticipating several unforeseen consequences.
From what i heard, like Grease Lightening ice skating on black ice from Canada to Russia.
