is it me or is there just not very many options for cool looking demon hunter xmogs. I was hoping they would bust out some demon hunter specific sets in bfa but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen since all leather share the same identity which is super lame imo. I know this is purely cosmetic but if im going to main a character I would like some options that are demon hunter specific. especially if your going to make a new class like the demon hunter who could have some sick looking sets if they took the time to give us some individuality

This was actually my single major gripe with their move away from class sets. I don’t miss the set bonuses, or the distortion to gearing they caused. I don’t miss fighting over tokens. But their reasoning for not needing class-focused armor sets was that they had had “21 iterations on representing a class in armor”. Except that only applies to the original core classes (and really it was only 20, since Trial of the Crusader wasn’t class themed either). DKs started with tier 7 and thus have 14 sets. Monks started with tier 14 and thus have 8 sets. And DHs started with tier 19 and thus only have 3 sets. This leaves DHs with a critical scarcity of good transmog options, with most of them just being recolors of other class sets in past raids (many of which aren’t available in complete sets).
That all said, while I wasn’t a huge fan of the Uldir sets, the bone-themed BoD leather set is freakin’ amazeballs (I’m somewhat less thrilled with the mail and plate sets, though the cloth one is pretty neat too). So I guess it comes more down to how reliably they can produce good-looking non-class-themed sets, which feels like it’s somewhere in the ballpark of 50/50 so far.

I wish they would have used the trial of style to add more class sets instead of the plane armor sets that could have been a great way to get more dh stuff

man I wish I woulda done the challenge mode for the artifact weapons for the warglaives. those fire glaives are the best ones and I cant even obtain them anymore. just my luck that the best things for dh is no longer obtainable unless I was a dh main in legion basically

Not really main. Just had to have one that you played and reasonably geared (even if just from LFR and WQs). I got the Mage Tower appearance on like 18 different specs across like 9 or 10 of my toons.

Yes, the tower glaives look amazing, and the weapon skins were exclusive to that activity for good reason as players were rewarded for their efforts while it was up.
The Havoc challenge itself was easily possible on alts nearing the end of the expansion, and quite frankly, if you missed out, that’s all on you…
Now, DH was introduced in Legion meaning that older sets are limited to pieces that aren’t tied to another class. Monk had this with pre MoP, and DK before that!
The current issue of Uldir and Daz bring limited to armour type instead of class, is not just a DH, but a universal issue within the game.
As mentioned above with the link to all sets included for DH, I find it incredibly lazy/disingenuous that one couldn’t muster up the imagination in working out a set, and would go so far as to say the issue that you have isn’t at all a problem with the game…

We’re just missing out on the variety of older tier sets.
If a lot of the older lookalike sets were complete, we’d have a lot more options.

On topic though, yea. We struggle with mog but can still make some decent sets. Like, female DH’s can use the grizzly jerkin with the leather skirt/dress legs from Black Temple and that gives a basic foundation for a decent DH styled mog. But I tend to just mix and match some of ToS and Nighthold stuff which works for me.
As far as Tier though, in my opinion we only have 2 sets since I hated the Antorus sets while I loved the Emerald Nightmare/Nighthold and Tomb of Sargeras sets, especially for Mythic.
But yea, we are definitely limited but we can make some stuff work, plus we get the skimpy cleavage chests from Legion for females or can go bare chested for males.

I got my glaives so I’m happy
I just rock t19 till they come up with something better… did change the cloak to a more recent one though. I don’t do dresses (t20) and I feel like t21 is far too bulky for a DH. Do love my glaives though.
I dunno, the PvP T21 recolor (clicky armory) feels insanely “demon huntery” to me, and jives remarkably well with the horns and mage tower weapons.
Edit: it’s actually one of my most satisfying transmogs on any of my toons, followed by my hunter, my warlock, and my deathknight in terms of how awesome I feel like the transmog looks and how closely it feels like it aligns with the class theme
It looks ok, don’t get me wrong. But to me it just seems too bulky for a class that’s supposed to be all about speed and mobility.
Edit: Then again, I think the M T21 with the blue 2nd row artifacts looks amazing.
But we use fel magic to enhance our mobility. We don’t need to be super light-weight and low armor to do that. And that set isn’t that bulky. It’s not plate armor or anything. The only real sense of “bulk” comes from the much more noticeable mass of the wrist and ankle armor, both of which make realistic and thematic sense (especially since they are spiked to act as quasi-weapons), and really aren’t that “heavy” from a mobility standpoint. The shoulders honestly aren’t that “bulky”, and are quite a bit less bulky than the T20 option or the Uldir or BoD shoulders for leather.
