I have not played this toon for about a year. I logged in this morning and I was very confused…
I had Warglaives pre patch that I was using and now I cant use them until level 45. The problem is, I dont have extra weapons or gold. Now what? I cant start leveling up until I get some weapons.
What was Blizz thinking? Makes no sense.
If you desperately need something, just grab some 1h swords or 1h axes off the AH, or a random weapon vendor.
You’ll be suboptimal, but at least you’ll be able to hit stuff until you do get some weapons.
Class artifact weapon if you have decent relics on them. Or, that class hall vender selling class armor also has a green weapon for sale, I think.
The vendor weapons were hotfixed to require 45.
If for whatever reason your artifact glaives can’t be used, DH can still equip swords.
The cata badge vendors in SW or Org offer ilvl 41 lvl 30 required swords for gold.
They needed at least another 4-6 months of testing on the squish but alas, budget cuts.

Just to clarify, I resurrected (was deleted) this toon and have 30 silver to my name.
Use your Artifact Warglaives, they will be fine to 47 or so. Or heirlooms, good to 50. I just leveled up an old DH from 42 to 50 by going around grabbing Candy Buckets for 2500-3000 xp per bucket with random questing on the side. Make sure you put that third Relic in at 45, it will raise ilevel up quite a bit.
Solo the Org dungeon (not in Chromie time) for about 30 gold, then you could afford white weapons from any weapon vendor in Orgrimmar. Hope it helps!
Do you have any heirloom weapons?
DHs can’t use warglaives until level 45? Is that an actual rule or is this just a bug with the character restoration?
BFA quest would be possible at level 10 and I know some of those have warglaives as quest rewards. Were those taken out as quest rewards, too?
They’re talking about the vendor sold warglaives in their order hall. Those require 45.
If anything, it’s pretty easy to get a few hundred gold if you have another character.
Okay, that makes a little more sense. I was confused because the leveling squish chart states level 41 characters would have been 102-103. I guess OP could have been put at 40 with 1 xp away from 41 and dinged that way. That would at least explain why they don’t have access to the artifact weapon.
