Demon Hunter Havoc Rolling Feedback

Essence break is fine and what alot of the DH community asked for. Not sure why youre batchesting this talent. The problem is where essence break is in the talent tree, not the talent itself.

I feel like 1 point in Relentless Onslaught giving 20% should be good also.

a small loud portion of the community asked and silenced everyone for break, it was never asked for and widely petitioned against when it was added in bfa. that said, I am fine with it existing as long as other choices are either better or very close on output, but that said this is not the case.

It would still be too weak, to compete against demonic he should reduce the meta CD to 2min or increase the versatility out of combat by 10% and in meta by an additional 5% to 10%.

Isolated Prey could become a latent PvP :man_shrugging:
Chaos Cleave I think it would be more balanced if it dealt the same damage to 3/5 enemies

I personally would prefer Chaos Blades instead of Essence Break, that skill is basically another Eye beam but instant and stackable with it, effective but meh

I believe Isolated prey was a pvp talent prior to DF, I’ll add it to the proposed changes.

  • Darkness - 1) Make this baseline and 2) change the 20% to avoid damage to reduce damage by 20% or significantly increase the chance.

  • Netherwalk - move to Darkness spot, Desperate Instincts below it (ideally made baseline)

  • Fel Eruption - move to class tree, replace Chaos Fragments with Fel Eruption (ideally made baseline)

  • Unnatural Malice - bake into Hunt, replace with Necrolord Fleshcraft (defensive) (Malice doesn’t feel good enough to be a capstone)

  • Felfire haste - change to Felfire Reach - increase melee range.

  • Initiative - 1) Using Vengeful Retreat activates Initiative regardless of damage taken. 2) Activating Immo Aura also grants initiative

  • Isolated Prey - remove the ā€œstriking 1 targetā€ qualifier. Fel rush generates 25-35 fury. Eye Beam damage increased on primary target by 25%

  • Cycle of Hatred - also reduces Essence Break cd (hate CoH, but if we’re stuck with it, eliminate the desync with Eye Beam)

  • Fel barrage - buff it (why have it as a talent or choice option if it’s so weak)

  • Furious Gaze - make it baseline again

  • Winds of Winter - move in place of Furious Gaze

  • Blur - increase DR, lower cd to 40-45 sec

  • Momentum - 1) needs a redesign, but for now, increase duration from 5 seconds to 8 seconds (a fel rush cd); 2) allow it to stack up to 16 sec (full duration of a double fel rush - eliminate frequent need to fel rush ); 3) increase damage done by 12-16% (currently 8%; reward us for playing a riskier playstyle)

  • Chaos Strike/Annihilation - buff by 5-10%

Edit: In the chance a dev is reading this, the reasoning behind my ideas are centered around 3 things: 1) Feels squishy against physical damage, 2) QoL - feels bad to lose Fel Eruption/Netherwalk from SL when we didnt have to sacrifice or give much up to have it and 3) ST damage is and feels bad while playing an arguably difficult and toxic play style (momentum - I like momentum, just not this iteration because of the constant fel rushes and unforgiving spacing/mechanics in raid/m+)

It’s unlikely they’ll change it to a flat DR or increase the chance. Flat-DR would just be a worse Power Word: Barrier, increased chance would be ridiculously OP in raids. Darkness is already extremely powerful in raid but it lacks use outside of it. They should either reduce the CD and increase the duration baseline or, as I suggested above, there should be an alternative to darkness that applies the effect on you and up to 4 allies on a 2-3m CD that has a 25-30% chance for the proc. It should also ideally be nearer the start of the tree similar to AMZ/Rally’s locations. Whether that will happen or not is up in the air, though.

Yea it was, and it was better before. In SL if you hit one target with eye beam they took 10% increased damage from the DH for like 6-8 seconds I forgot how long it was. But it would buff DS and anihhilation.

I disagree that darkness is strong - maybe it’d be strong if it still worked with spirit link. I’d rather have something more reliable even if it’s a worse PW:B.

An increased chance on a 5 minute (3m if talented) isn’t unreasonable imo. Even at 40% it’d be okay - remember DGB? Even at 40%, it felt like it would never proc.

Darkness is strong in raid. I’ve had a single use of Darkness mitigate over 1m damage in VotI. It’s quite significant. It’s arguable that it’s not 5m CD strong, but it is strong.

I do not think it would be gamebreaking for it to be a 25% chance, but I do not believe Blizz will increase it without some sort of limitation.

I don’t think we played with the same DGB. It procced constantly.

Im literally LOLing at the fact that there was nothing talked about when it came to Accelerated Blade and Serrated Glaive, out of all the suggestions everyone had, i only saw Serrated Glaive, once. That was the change they did… This is… lol I need some Advil…

darkness can be strong and it can be weak. thats the overal issue of it. same with dgb sometimes it would proc sometimes it doesnt, vdh being especially reliant on dgb in SL was noticeable

They stated more changes to come.

Just gonna leave this here

Some changes might be coming to Fodder to the Flame. An alternative would be welcoming.

I have always felt the melee range of auto attack or abilities was shorter for DH, like warriors/DK’s have abilities that hit from much further away. Always noticed it when having to literally stack under bosses in raids sometimes, or finding myself just out of range when stacking for a mechanic and couldn’t quite hit the target when everyone else could.

It is a good idea, but if I had to choose, I would prefer that Critical Chaos & Dancing with Fate turns into 1 point nodes.

I agree, but I wouldn’t mind Dancing with Fate as a 2 point node if the 2nd point reduced fury cost and possibly added a revolving blades effect.

I see this as material for a new 1 point talent.
