Demon Hunter Double Jump

I am sick and tired of running up against a demon hunter that all he does is stay up in the dam air and throw his glaves at me and there is nothing to do except vivify myself and hope to stay alive until he comes down or throw a crackling jade lighting at him. I propse that Demon hunters should have this unbalanced advantage in ranked matchs tooken away and that the double jump and/or wings be disabled during the match to balance this unfair advantage.

Oh…oh you’re serious

i am quite serious. this is a major unfair/unbalanced advantage that should be nerfed

Why are you using vivify is the big question… And why are you not pillaring while he is in the air?

Run around a pillar and los it.

i do pillar but you do understand while hes up in the air he basicly has a unbreakable line of sight

You can line RFA

it’s not even a good talent to take.

What are you on about?

Yea it’s pretty avoidable… I also don’t know many DH that take the talent. Was this in a bg or something?

It actually can be hard to avoid sometimes due to the height of the LoS and the angle the DH is at. It also does good damage and can be a viable alternative to reverse magic depending on comp. I’ve even used it as a DPS cd on my DH since it does % based damage so it’s good for things like a druid in bear form in the open.

However there’s no reason to complain about it as it’s about as balanced as anything can be in this game. Just accept it as a useful ability the DH has and treat it with respect and react accordingly.

if youre doing more dps with rain from above than with regular abilities then i’ve got some bad news for you bud

the only map that rain is hard to avoid is on Ruins of Lord if you are unable to make it to the mine cart in the green goo at the right angle, every other map its pretty easily avoided

@OP: I would reccommend saving trancendence port for rain if you are having difficulties avoiding it. staying in the open spamming heals will do more harm since ww vivify doesnt do enough healing to out-do fel lance.

Sounds like a git gud situation…bruh u know you can los that crap right? seriously and why are you using vivify? lmfao…

I mean you can even look at some of the recent BfA tournaments and see Trill used Rain from Above a few times just for added DPS. The casters even commented on it. It absolutely can be a DPS boost to use it depending on the circumstances.

It’s 6% per lance iirc

But it’s slow to get out, but I can see not being able to LOS the first 1 or 2

7% I think actually.

in a situation where he needed to be defensive and be able to deal damage yea

fel lances do like 6% of the targets health, you dont get to use fel lance until youre all the way up (takes 2 seconds) and you usually only get 1-2 off before the target gets out of los, usually resulting in about 20k damage being done based on average health pools

no one is setting up kills and then pressing RFA just for the damage, the only way it would every really be used in a situation like that is if the kill target is super low and you have no fel rush or VR to get to them. but taking it for a situation like that is just silly

You’re framing it as if I said you set up a kill and now it’s time for big deeps so press rain from above which is just a strawman argument as I never said that and nobody has ever thought that. And no it wasn’t just used to be defensive+offensive although it is both.

If you come out of meta and dumped your fury, or if you are being kited, or if the target is in bear form, etc. popping RfA will definitely be a dps boost and allow you to do more damage than anything else in that time frame. I think this is pretty common knowledge tbh and my only point of even bringing it up is because people are acting like the talent is worthless when it’s not.

No, he hasn’t earned that clue yet. We can still milk this one a bit.

He’s upset about Double Jump. You know the line of sight defeating ability where glaives kill you.

I double stacked furious gaze and am specced into eye beam meta. So when I eye beam I go into meta and get the furious gaze buff resulting in 70% haste. I do RFA right after and it does over 100k damage. I was doing 3s with a dk and when he was stacking necro’s/bursting I did RFA, it absolutely melted people. His super slow and grip made sure they didn’t los it, and even if the healer freecasted they had trouble outhealing the damage from it. I see some potential in it, maybe not at high cr but its still super fun.

You’re like the 10th person to say that.

You normally this slow? Shame you can’t get a speed boost IRL. Maybe yo mumma can help you out with some tutoring or damn dog… you’re in trouble.
