My Demon Hunter no longer performs any animations other than fighting and running riding. When I skin, mine, hearth, mount, etc. I just get the channeling bar then the end result. He just stands there like a dufus as I’m doing whatever it is I asked him to do. Only rarely like 1 in 100 times will he actually do the animation. It’s obviously not game breaking but it’s super annoying.
Would just like to bump this one. This has been a thing since pre patch which is honestly crazy that major character animations like Hearthing, mounting, and so on are just broken because of Meta causing animation lockups and there isn’t even an inkling on Blizzards end.

This is still happening in 2022. Skinning creatures seems to almost always lock all my animations.
Correction: Skinning doesn’t cause it. Meta just seems to have a random chance to break animations.

Not only does metamorphosis break animations, it also breaks voice lines. It changes you from the unique DH voice to the normal blood elf voice when playing a male blood elf DH, not sure if it happens for night elves or female chars. All the combat, jumping, animation type voice things.

Hi, this is still happening. I’ve only ever experienced this while in Vengeance spec, and it happens intermittently – apparently it’s Metamorphosis that causes the bug, but I can’t really tell since it’s inconsistent. I’m not experiencing the same voice line breaking effect that @Viscera mentioned (playing a male Night Elf). It breaks skinning, hearthing, and mounting animations, causing you to just stand idle with no effects/sounds.
i have that on my druid. no animations, no hearth, profession, mounting, crafting, whatever. it must be something with transforming shapeshifting in this game. Some people have it on the deamon hunter and some on a druid.
i have leveled a new dh and it also has this bug. blizzard pls fix this! should be prio 1 in your bug list because it exists since 8 years.
