id love to see another dps spec for them so that if havoc is in the trash they have another option.

They shouldn’t get a 3rd spec
Even if havoc is bad you’re still needed for your chaos brand, the moment they do a 3rd spec and make it range you’re forced to play the better spec for invites
I rather be B tier per wow head and icy veins ranks than make havoc become a C/D/F tier

If you go with a caster then you’re just treading on Warlocks even more with another Fel caster.
And what could you add to make another melee?
DH don’t really need another spec.

Even I still believe evokers should have stayed as two specs
3rd spec doesnt need to be ranged. can be another melee spec. just like warriors have
I’d love to see the new spec be healing - but oriented around damage, the way disc priest works.
This way they keep their “brawler” type of feel - but still fill a very much needed role in the game.

PVP, if the demand is high enough. I liked how long ago some specs were good for leveling, some for pvp, some for end-game, etc…
I don’t think it forces players to pick one, it just give them an advantage when doing that specific thing. Take for example mages. Most mages played frost for PVP in WoTLK, but there were some standout fire mages like Anaxagoras.

A support spec that used soul and fury generation to funnel buffs to teammates via helpful Sigils could be interesting and yet distinct from Aug. Any new ideas to improve the DPS rotation should just be used for Havoc instead of a new spec; as it is Havoc could use a bit of a rework.

My bet is that they’re going to be the next to get a “support” spec.
They could do some weird fel transfer of energy stuff that would be unique to them without stealing from warlocks.
I would be disappointed if mages didn’t get the next support spec. To me, it doesn’t fit in DH lore as a support.

The 3rd DH spec would be called “EZ mode.” And instead of using your face to play the spec, like with havoc, you simply sit back and ChatGPT does damage for you.

why are people saying “Stealing from warlocks?”
the only thing i know that got taken was the metamorph ability which honestly fits the dh lore much more than the warlock. i can understand the sadness from warlocks on losing something cool tho.
i think there could easily be a fel related support/healing spec
i think there could be another melee dps spec that just plays different than havoc.
maybe a ranged dps spec that is like a mix between a glaive thrower/fel barrage type thing?
all i know is i dont really tank, and when havoc is in a not great spot id like to have another option without having to reroll what i find the most fun class imo.
the defensives on havoc dh is honestly just not good.
TBH, I don’t think any of the pure DPS classes need 3 specs either.

Destruction warlocks don’t really use pets. You sacrifice whichever pet you want the effect for (normally felhunter for the silence) and you get a buff that allows you to do extra damage while also being able to access that pets special ability. So you’re essentially wanting them to be like destro locks?
