Do you prefer Tyrant or Demonbolt build?
Which is more fun/which is easier/faster etc. ? (in 2s or bgs) Thanks
I play both but prefer the demonbolt build.
Demonbolt build is definitely better in 2s and rbg. On this toon I usually play nf tyrant build and have like a 55% win rate in 2s but my other lock plays demonbolt and has a 70%+ win rate so I barely lose in 2s as demonbolt build.
In rbgs the tyrant build kinda sucks because your pets and tyrant get ranged or kited around the map and the only time you can get a good tyrant out is if the efc is parked in the flag room. In demonbolt build you can be alot more mobile and more chance of a one shot, I’ve hit efc/orb carriers for 80-100k bolts before.

It is fun surprising a Paladin with 20k demonbolts to the face.
How the heck do you get 80-100k bolts? I pop dogs for the 20% increase and still don’t get those numbers.
Orb carriers gain a stacking debuff who multiply the damage taken.
but hey, if they don’t nerf double leggo setup on ptr this might just become a reality for non flag carriers too…
You run with Resto druid?
In general the demon bolt build is going to be better. Completely relying on pet AI can be really frustrating and tyrant can be easily shut down, whereas the demon bolt has really high kill pressure if the enemy team messes up or you set up well
I was hitting 90k on target dummies on ptr lol, it’s probably gonna need a nerf.
I ran with a rdruid, rsham, hpriest, and spriest and had great win rate with all of them at 2400 mmr.

Yes, it’s very likely, but i do hope its a “cirurgical nerf” and not a pile driver on the legendaries.
Because while in pvp both legendaries are strong, they are not rly anything to write home in terms of dps(and as such pve).
its not like you do that damage out nowhere either (there is a long setup and all that) and players are harder to execute with it than a target dummy.

I also was getting 79k demon bolts on ptr and no they are ridiculously easy to set up even on players at 2400+MMR you need like 8 globals and can even stack pets/ cast decimating on Pets/totems behind a pillar into your go. It’s way too much
