My logs aren’t good and I can’t find a proper guide. After my initial NP use ok the beginning phase I don’t know what to do and my damage just falls off the cliff.
Should I hold 2nd fel guard to align with my NP? Or should I use it on cd with Tyrant?
I’m having difficulty especially on the Raz fight. Should I save my Tyrant/Fel Guard cd again for the 2nd phase after the first intermission? Or do I just use it on cd? I’m at a lost on how to maximize those cds.
I get the rule of only casting Hand of Guldan with three shards and don’t have more then 4 stacks of DB procs.
Assuming you’re using the same demonbolt build that you use for all your other logs: that build isnt necessarily bad for the raz fight since boss damage might be a priority for your group, but you arent going to parse very high since every other demolock myself included is going imp gang boss + implosion and gigapadding on the intermission phases. You should at the very least take dreadlash because its a really high value talent that lets you contribute on the frequent add pack spawns without compromising your single target basically at all.
In terms of CD timings I think its best to just send GFG with 3rd tyrant rather than having it sit on CD for a full minute. The way the fight timings worked out for my guild is that we would phase the boss in around 2 minutes, so i would do 3rd tyrant + GFG with a pack spawn in the intermission phase and 4th tyrant on the 1st shield of phase 2.
FG on 3rd tyrant CD? So would that be the 2nd FG. Each FG CD is 2 minutes.
I would try use Tyrant on CD and it would lined up perfectly the 3rd CD with the 2nd NP.
Would it be better to use FG on cd?
You would use NP on the first intermission phase also? Cause it be at the end of it in my guild? I would normally save it for the first part of the 2nd phase but I would have hold those cds a bit longer.
I find it behind aff and destro now. It spikes to a reasonable level if you get a NP off properly that doesn’t get interrupted by moving, but then drops off heavily. Rely on implosion and dreadbite to do any sort of respectable overall damage assuming there are adds.
True. That doesn’t mean it’s so bad you can’t do enough damage to kill a boss in Raid Finder or pug Heroic though.
In my last heroic Raz prog on Thursday (guild is casual raid guild), I was spiking up in the 115k range and settling back down to around 50-60k before phase 2, then it was spiking again with cleave. We couldn’t get through a full phase 2 so I’m not sure where I will land entering phase 3, but it’s gotta be higher with all that delicious cleave in P2.
A good NP will have you spiking 100K+ in P1 if (and this is a HUGE if) you don’t get bomb(s). If you get first bombs and need to run your DPS will absolutely crater and never recover.
P2 padding is awesome if the rest of your DPS lets them live long enough to implode 2-3x a pack. Some specs are now bursting 350K+ on these.
Same for P2.5 cleave. Adds need to live a bit for you to shine, which they did earlier, but now most groups don’t even bother CCing them they die so fast.
These days all the adds are just getting deleted which hurts Demo given their need for some ramp.
Anyway, none of this really matters any more. Between the nerfs and the gear scaling Raz is more fun than hard.
