And now they hit demo in PvP too
I mean, it was expected for PvP nerfs to hit Demonology, the spec was broken, every PvP’r warlock i talked to said it was a matter of time.
Now, if the nerf was too heavy, or if it nerfed the wrong part of the combo its a matter that i am not very confortable trying to predict and will leave to the likes of Epícburn and other Glad Demo’s to judge.
I tried playing it wasn’t really my thing. I always prefer aff or destro…. Hoping they over take demo for keys and PvP.
These changes were inevitable, and I say that as someone playing Warlock this patch because I legitimately like Destro for keys and Aff for PvP, and do not want to feel forced to play Demo.
Watching Demo get consistent 2-taps on people in PvP is funny, sure, but it’s also busted.
I’m hoping this is enough of a step to knock this build into the dirt, but they may have to do it again. It’s one thing to have burst, it’s another thing entirely to dunk someone in two globals.
Anybody who tells you this wasn’t coming has no idea what they’re talking about.

That was fun while lasted. Decimating Bolt doesn’t allow you to decimate enemies in PvP anymore.
Anyone test the actual numbers yet? I was in a BG just a moment ago and was able to get a couple 27k shots off without the 20% from feldogs and only a couple demons out. I think this build might still be functional, just not “erase the enemy team” functional.
They went after the wrong component, and the issue will turn into time vs results. I’ll have to test obv but I figured they would nerf the wrong thing and hypothetically kill the spec or largely gimp it.
Yeah, it also sucks that they nerfed tyrant for PvE reasons. I was hoping for a fun build once we’ve got the tier set where the extra feldog and imps make the tyrant pump hard(er), but now it’ll probably just bring him back to where he was.
It’s ok, as long as pallies can still global you inside an immune buble or druids can convoke you to death in one cast all is right in the world.
especially if the druid is running the 2cc immune trinket you have to either blow every defensive or every cc you have to hopefully stop it b4 u die 3 seconds into the game. rogue can kidney resonator you and kill w/o them pressing any offensive buttons, and if they dont kill reset and actually press buttons since you or your healer used all y’alls buttons to just live resonators
This game is becoming more and more of a major time/money suck. I mean I knew that they were going to nerf demo locks, they knew that they would need demo locks, everyone knew that they would need the spec, so my only question is why did they even release the changes in the first place? They are using the same concept of “click-bait”. They just rotate a series of buffs and nerfs which make no sense while actually not making any real fundamental changes to the game and just watch the dollars pile up. It doesnt even matter if what they will do is predictable or not anymore. At this point I have very little faith in any positive change for the future of this game. And no I am not on a rant because my “spec” got nerfed. I wasnt even playing that garbage build which I knew would be nerfed. I just feel like the team developing/designing the game are just out of ideas. The game has run its course. At this point he players of the game are dictating the game itself and that is just not healthy for the game. That is a sign that the innovation for the game is just not there. #stopWoWtrash

Lol i can name 5 specs/classes right now that could blow up somone in pvp faster then a demo pre nerf. And they are still doing it. I can global anyone even healers with my assassinrogue through walls. And no nerf lol

No but obviously the priority is nerfing warlocks, even though other classes are worse and have been doing it all expansion.

Chill your roll. I literally got a forum ping a month after the last post so that… Two people can tell me something I already know, that there are still unbalanced specs in PvP
