Is it just me or have the demo minions AI become worse since recent changes. Many times my tyrant will just sit there and not attack for no reason. Sometimes dogs will do the same. I have tried to identify the situations that might cause it but it’s so random. Anyone else notice this?

I found that if my pet is set to passive (usually for sniping in Torghast) the tyrant, and sometimes the dogs, won’t attack when I change target unless compelled by an attack macro.

Is it possible for the tyrant to be out of range of demons that are in melee and not get empowered?
This just happened to me, I was at max range and had to get closer to my target and then it worked just fine, but I’m new to demo so I don’t know.
I have it happen to me fairly often in arena. It’s a huge bummer because tyrant is typically the only way I’ll kill somebody. I’ll summon it and he’ll just kind of stand there looking silly, then despawn. I wish that would happen with shaman earth elementals once in a while.

This is the frustrating part about this game. Besides all of the other issues going on in this game the devs take so long to fix long standing issues. Pet based specs have been complaining about pet AI for a long time but expac after expac and nothing is done. Blizzard needs to polish their product. They add features to a weak foundation. Back 10+ years ago it feel like to me that they payed more attention to trying to polish the game to make it more enjoyable. Now it’s a game riddled with bugs and bad design. Do they realize that the only reason why many players stayed with this game over the years was because of the attention to detail. Sad.
It isn’t just the minions, the entire specialization is bugged. Its horrible when your generating spells do not even generate shards. Which, you know, is IMPORTANT to the entire class, let alone Demology. You don’t get a single shard at times casting Shadow Bolt, you don’t get two for pre-casting Demon Bolt… Your minion’s health, namely your Felguard doesn’t get updated right away after any slightest stamina buff.
So for whatever reason, its the buggiest PoS spec ever, and yet… I’m playing it because I enjoy the fantasy. So it isn’t weird that this another issue on top of a already buggy situation.

I’m right there with you. No matter how garbage demo lock is I always play it. But the minions bugs are serious especially in PvP.
