Demo Mage Tower dmg

Howdy,

Trying to get this done on my demo Lock alt, and I keep dying to incremental dmg. Drain life, health stones, not standing in puddles, etc. I am using curses, just get quite low often.

Seems like the bosses just aggro me and chase me despite my pets smacking em.

Any advice to get this done?

Would have to see you play to know exactly. But pretty much all the damage in there outside of the main boss cooldowns is either avoidable or passively manageable. Also don’t forget to use the orbs that spawn for periodic healing, they’re pretty important.

Advice: every try, before you start the fight.

Resummon Felguard, check if his Threat generating aura is turned on or off, it NEEDS to be on.

Use Soul Strike on Sigryn, she sometimes will aggro on you out of nowhere (generally after a charge) and Soul Strike helps fishing the aggro back to Felguard.

Use Demonic Strenght to generate extra aggro on all 3 of them.

Aboue damage:

  • I found that trying to dodge the axes is generally worse than just standing still and taking one to face.
  • No mistery, sadly, don’t stand on them and try to avoid walking over them (might be necessary to step on a rune or other)
    *Curse of Weakness on sigryn and on Jarl reduces their damage done with melee auto attacks, Curse of Tongues makes Runeseer casts slower.
  • Shadowfury can be used to stun Jarl during keymoments, Fear can be used on Sigryn if you need “more breathing room”.
    *THIS IS IMPORTANT: try to avoid getting to close of Runeseer, when you get in his melee range he just decides “Ok, now i am a rogue” and starts to stabbing you with his knife regardless of his aggro…no idea why.

I have prolly died 10-20x around 29%, so thought maybe it was worth checking if I am messing it up.

I usually miss the fear on the blood of the father at the end and end up taking a few ticks

My FG Cannot keep aggro on them. They randomly drop and attack me, especially Sig and Runeseer

Sigryn does that. I sic my pet on her (I have pet attack bound to shift-r and just hit it until it starts hitting her), and Soul Strike may also be an option.

That said, I can’t beat Sigryn at all. On any spec. I’ve probably failed this challenge over 150 times across all characters over the past two weeks aaaand I’m not getting any better. I’m soaked in twink gear, keybinds and macros, weakauras and DBM, all the consumables, enchants, and gems. I’ve watched what feels like every video and read all the strats. I’ve got the phases and timings all but memorized.

I’ve done harder challenges in OG and TW MT. I’ve done the tank challenge more than once. In all of those I could work through sticking points and make progress, but whatever is wrong with me that keeps me failing in numerous ways on Sigyrn is clearly a puzzle my feeble mind can’t solve.

I ended up getting this yesterday on pull #58.

I decided to change up my strategy to the following:

  1. On the pull, pop drums ,pot, apply three Dooms–keep them up them whole fight everytime you move.
  2. Ran over and stood by Jarl Felbrand.
  3. Axe toss on Runeseer, this made him run toward me.
  4. switch back to Sigryn. All the mobs are now stacked up on you, and you can do your Tyrant setup, CD’s, DStrength them all etc. Cycle implosions.
  5. alternate soulstriking to make sure pet aggros. eventually Runeseer stops chasing you again.

The rest of the fight proceeded as normal, only their health was a lot lower. For example, during Runeseer’s empower. all mobs were stacked together instead of just him, which let implosion cycling and demonic Strength do a ton of work.

Build I used was:
Demonic strength (this was crucial)
Doom
Demon Skin
Soul Strike (this was crucial)
Mortal Coil
Grimoire: Felguard
Demonic Consumption

I defeated this fight on demo, as that is the spec I am most familiar with.

The talents I used were the following:

Dreadlash
Doom
Demon Skin (a must)
Summon Vilefiend
Mortal Coil
Grimoire: Felguard
Demonic Consumption

Grimoire: Felguard is both kind of useless and much needed at the same time, I hardly used it at all and that was actually part of the strat, I was saving him for crucial interrupts as he does his axe throw when you summon him, which is needed for when you have the triple bubble phase, use axe toss, grimoire, axe toss again.

At 30% (and probably the reason you keep wiping) Sigryn does a soft enrage that makes all three of them do their abilities, it is super crucial that you mortal coil her right away and run away from Jarl, and dps down the bubble.

Once you get the 2nd bubble down, you will want to fear Sigryn and run away from Jarl, at this point you will want to lust and burn down the 3rd bubble on the farseer, intertupt him and burn him, at that point Jarl will die, avoid the next set of valks and you win.
