Hey there,
I am currently 1065 IO.
In the last 45 min all I tried was to get into a single 14 as that’s what I need now to push keys. I must have been declined from. 20+ groups. Gear Ilvl 212
This is ridiculous. What the hell am I paying for here.

I mean, to be fair It’s not Blizzards fault that the majority of players are slaves to the meta.
Join a guild, find a group and you’ll never have a problem again. Probably.
Struggling here aswell, Demo/Necro ilvl 204, problem is why take us when other classes do what we can do but better

1158 IO here and I find it is hit or miss on invites. Some folks see a “Mythic + Tier List” on Icy Veins and assume warlocks are terrible. For reference, all 3 warlock specs are ranked C-Tier on Icy Veins, with Demonology ranked dead last of all specs in the game for Mythic +. Icy Veins is a terrible “resource”.
If you go over to Wowhead, Demonology is ranked as one of the front runner specs for Mythic +. People don’t know better, if they see the list on Icy Veins, they’ll assume it’s accurate and may be completely unaware of other lists, such as Wowhead’s list. It doesn’t help that there aren’t a lot of warlocks in general and even fewer Demonology Warlocks. People who actually understand the tool-kit of Demonology and our uncapped AoE and high single target damage are happy to invite us.
Best thing you can do is just play well, adhere to mechanics, do great damage, continue timing your keys, and build a solid friend list from your good runs. Yes, many people want the meta but I’ve been in plenty of 13’s and 14’s with Boomies, Hunters, Rogues, and Mages who do sub 4k dps. Groups that have already run with you and had a great experience will be much more likely to invite you again.
Push. Your. Own. Keys.
People really need to look at subcreation instead of IV for this. For example and based on the actual data, affliction is actually A tier- with destro/demo being D-Tier… so aff is actually pretty good RDPS option.
Problem is when you make a 10+ key you get 20 SP/MM/Bdruid/Fmage applying - all same gear range, which are the current Stier.
why take the lock?
One of the perceptions that I get frustrated with is that we aren’t effective interrupters. That’s why a few of my friends who push higher keys tend to avoid inviting me. Comes down to the same gripe we all have of our rotation taking a large majority of our focus/concentration that being able to snipe an interrupt is just not as easy as other classes.
I use a mouseover macro for my interrupt, which has made life much easier.
