Delves with alts?

What if Delves consited of your alts?

edit: My apologies, you can keep Brann for Delves. I thought “follower Dungeons” were also referred to as Delves. (I obviously don’t run with any crowds).

BUT that being said, I still think it would be cool to do Follower Dungeons with your alts using their gear. (requires min. gear level, otherwise NPC used)

You mean replacing Brann with one of your alts?

Like as a brann replacement? Could be fun.

Sorry…i thought Delves could also be a 5 man party (w 4 NPCs)? But yes, replacing Brann if you want to with an alt that can fill the appropriate roll

Same for follower dungeons.

I kinda thought that was where Warbands were heading when the early information about them was released.
There’s quite a few business reasons not to do this though, so while unhappy I’m not surprised they didn’t do this.

I’m going to be doing delves solo either way, what does it matter if my healer/tank/dps companion is Brann or one of my alts?

ETA: Easier for devs though, if they don’t have to implement all the possible classes and specs as companions.

That’s a really cool idea, but with the new one-button rotation assist, having your alts run Delves with you starts to feel a bit like soft multiboxing. If each alt can handle a simplified rotation, it’s not far off from running your own dungeon team. It’s an awesome concept for Warband synergy, but it definitely pushes the boundary between alt play and automation.

That’s exactly the reason.
And I personally would be upset if the say, DK AI has banter and stuff that’s nowhere in line with how I imagined my jolly Orc DK.

Lok-tar Ogar!

Id just like to play along side by side with my alts, let the loot be master loot and i can dictate which alt gets it and an option for them to equip item or not.

It would also take care of some old instance guild achievements lol.

Im a super casual player and dont know when ill get to play so i cant adhere to any raid or guild schedule. I have to do things on my own time and would be nice to feel it was quality spent.

They would probably have the same AI control and pithy sayings so I am not sure it would be an upgrade.

There has been a lot of talk about using alts in Follower Dungeons. You don’t need them in Delves, those you can solo.

If they do use them in Follower Dungeons I hope they have two modes:

  1. Have your alts take on the default stats the Followers use
  2. Have your alts keep the stats you have built for them

I think 1 would be easy but 2 might be more difficult. If they have a cookie-cutter set of NPC followers, it’s easy to make them look like your alts as that’s cosmetic, but taking on their stats and/or gear is likely more effort that with a questionable payoff (more new or retained subs? more cash-shop sales on cosmetics for said alts? where’s the return-on-investment?).

I would like follower dungeons with alts.

They can. But you only run with people if you can’t run them on your own. Running with others turns mobs into slog-level damage sponges that aren’t fun.

They’ve officially made me not want to run Delves with people now.

There’s storyline to these Delves with the character we run them with. So no, let’s not take out storyline.

Follower dungeons exist to use random NPC that are irrelevant or alts. Not Delves.

uhm, dual boxing still viable?

Can’t take that DPS hit. Keeping Brann.

The idea of some of the voice actors for player races constantly repeating “Don’t Stand There” runs chills down my spine. Female Gnomes & Draenei in particular.

If you mean as a replacement for Brann, I’m not sure how that’d work given no other Specs have Brann skill sets.
If it’s a cosmetic change only, then it’d depend on the character voices.
