It is relevant which M+ Dungeon you have done and for the week.
It is not relevant which Bountiful Delve you have done.
Delves also aren’t scored on a rating season.
Look at the Vault UI?
For example right now I can look at the Vault UI on my Warlock and determine that I need to run a +8 if I want the 2nd slot to also be 616 (upgraded from 610), and I need to run 1 more if I want the 3rd slot to be unlocked.
Honestly, i’d just be happy with the variant of each Delve showing when we mouse over the icon, seems silly to have to fly out there to check. Then again, seems like a classic case of Blizzards “there will be an addon that does that” approach to refining features.
I don’t think it’s that. I think it’s just a case of refinement coming after this first iteration. Delves are a brand new feature. They didn’t know how people would take to them. Folks are now collectively sharing what things about them annoy us, and blizz will presumably make improvements in time.
The problem for me is this weeks Khaz Algar Research quest to do 3 “unique” delves. Quest says run any 3 delves, but it turns out you can’t repeat the same delve for this quest.
Running a dozen or so alts, I am now at a loss to know which toon has run which delve since I didn’t think it necessary to keep track of this.
It really would be helpful if delves were tracked in the same way as M+ dungeons are so I could tell which ones each character has completed this week.
That’s fair and I don’t disagree that this needs better tracking. Doing some further research, it is an API problem. Blizz doesn’t have any of that in the API. Someone did manage to find a way to count how many 8s we do… but it messes up if you do higher than 8s.
So they kinda screwed up their own coding and it would make sense to fix that.
But you can’t see what level. For example if it tells you “run +5 or higher to upgrade slot,” you don’t know how many +8 you need maybe you need 1 maybe you need 4 more
M+ tells you exactly what your relevant top runs are for vault, so you can determine exactly what you need to do to hit a target reward for a slot.
Delves in the vault just tell you “complete a Delve of the next tier or higher to upgrade the reward”.
Which is fine for the first slot that only requires two to be completed, but for the second and third slots it really isn’t helpful. Nor is how many Delves you’ve completed overall.
Only the tracking in the vault.
The rest are not needed.
Do you wanna know how many bountifuls you have? open your maps and check which ones.
Or… get a WA that shows it.
This is the vault drop down for M+, as far as I’m aware that’s the only area that lists that. The statistics just tell you your boss kills.
Combined with
We see that OP is wanting that sort of data for Delves.
Which is something that we should have in the game’s UI. And as Sendryn has said add-ons for this can be a bit faulty as there’s currently an API issue with Delves - likely the reason why there isn’t the same drop down as M+.
There’s certainly parts of OPs list that aren’t really relevant or are available, but I think that’s just OP not communicating their point super well via the list. The actual paragraphs where they expand on their point are much clearer.
Yup a way to track it for each week would be nice.
The Vault is pretty terrible at showing you if you are at 5/6/7 delves for the week, and only shows you 2/4/8 after you hit those check points.
The vault shows you how many dungeons you ran for the week with a nice little /8 counter in the corner, as does the raid row, but the world row doesn’t. Would be nice if it did.
this week was especially bad considering we had 2 weekly quests and one quest you could do 5 of the same delve and the other had to be 3 different ones
Tracking which delves you’ve done is helpful on characters you’re leveling so you know which quests you have left. You can get pretty far off delves alone from 70-80.
