“Raid logging” as they’ve used it is generally the “only logs on to raid then off the rest of the week” playstyle.
No raid logging has and has always mean logging on for raid and that’s it.
It’s interesting that the foundation of OP’s argument is that things should just be made easier for bad players and they should be isolated instead of encouraged to improve.
That sounds more like an early 2000’s definition to be honest but I appear to be in the wrong.
But the Mythic raiders Blizzard supposedly cater to are the top 1% and it would be those who throw the biggest stink.
That has nothing to do with what I was replying too or even talking about???. Look what I responded too and how I responded.
In its purest form, ilvl should reflect the difficulty of the content, nothing else. Not whether you are a solo player. Not whether you are in a top raiding guild. It’s a false narrative to say that they can’t make challenging and difficult solo content. Hopefully Delves will deliver here.
I’ll press, no… mash X to doubt on that scaling. Delves are imo clearly marketed toward the casual open world audience.
Which also means hard no on it giving the best level gear
You didn’t start raid logging until you grinded your mplus for crafted gear and rep.
So my point still stands.
It should AND have a similar time sink to achieve BIS
That way, no matter what content you’re doing… People are there because they WANT TO BE THERE.
Also it wouldn’t be “the path of least resistance.”
Have it be spammable and share a vault slot with M+
That way nobody who doesn’t want to do a delve will have to go out of their way to do one(at least not any more than they have to do M+)
Also, please don’t pretend like doing 18 keys is the pinnacle of difficulty. That’s already the established path to highest level gear, yet nobody is bragging that they timed an 18.
It will likely give Champion or Hero gear no way is it gonna have Myth gear
Delves will end up being as underutilized as their previous incarnation: Scenarios…
Scenarios had gear which was barely better than Heroic Dungeons, and woefully undermatched when compared to even Quest reward gear…
Delves will most likely provide Adventurer level gear (also thematically fitting the Adventurer exploring a Delve)…
This is my take also. Not gonna buy TWW until Delves and professions are pretty much settled. And I’d really like them to dump the Pathfinder, if dragon gliding cam be allowed there is no valid reason real flying can’t be. Was really hoping Mommy Microsoft would slap down the spitegate. Still hoping Square implements a token so I can drop WoW for FFXIV.
It has already been confirmed that Delves will be a new pillar of endgame content so no will likely drop Champion gear and provide Hero gear in Vault.
I want them to have the option to isolate.
I want them to have the option to try hard to work well with others in a group… or choose to keep doing solo content if that’s what they like.
I think they should have agency in what they do.
If you think a delve with infinity scaling difficulty, scores, and leaderboards won’t lead to improvement… I would ask what you even mean by “improvement”
We don’t even know if +20 is going to remain the “highest key” for GV purposes. It’s been increasing by 5 key levels pretty consistently each expansion since BFA. A +15 might not be that great next xpac
We gonna have all that?
Once upon a time Blizzard also confirmed (and put it on the damn box) that WotLK would come with a dance studio so we could customize our characters’ dance animation… That got shuffled away very quietly… Furthermore, Torghast originally came with gear, and when it became obvious that it would be used to skip zone gearing, the rewards got changed to just cosmetics and toys…
Delve’s don’t have a mythic difficulty. Why would they need to drop mythic gear?
