SO im not the biggest pve guy, but ive done a few mythic 10s back in BFA.
to me personally, this lvl 7 delve was much harder than any mythic 10 dungeon ive ever done.
but the reward? for slaying a boss with 40 mil hp and crushing power? my reward is a 454 ilvl green gear that ill never use?
i just dont see the reason. would rather do a mythic 10 which is way easier and get way better reward
I think the intended target for delves is mostly people and small groups who don’t want to do pugs to get the 5 needed to run M+ but still would like some semblance of gear progression beyond world quests.
M+ is still meant to be the better gear reward.
No, your reward is unlocking tier 8 delves so that you can go do the bountiful delves that offer the actual gear rewards at the highest drop level (that being 603). If you aren’t doing bountiful delves and using your keys then the gear will be capped at tier 3’s 554

You can get 603 gear from bountiful tier 8 delves and if you do a lot of delves you get 610 gear from the weekly Vault which is the same ilvl as the Heroic Raid.
Delves are not worth it because its trying to be to many things. It was marketed as solo content or something you can do with a friend for some stuff but the moment they announced hard modes and high level gear it was a clear message it was meant for the Mythic players and world first players. Delves are not for casuals anymore. They made that mount specifically to lure people into it to show “looks its still for casual” but once you get it what’s the point unless you’re a mythic player looking for that slight edge. It even contributes to the vault so its required content. Another chore for the chore list.
I’m going to have one 610 choice on two characters and it’s only Friday. For me the rewards are worth it.
Instead of beating my head against a wall trying to find a good pug for mythic I just run a T8 delve.
I’d say very, very worth it.
The only thing hardcore about Delves is Tier ?? Zekvir and T 9-11 Delves. Everything else is for casual to midcore players to progress in based on their world progression.
It is not meant to be ultra hardcore for the highend at all in anyway in T 1-8. Those players will be doing Arena, M+, and Mythic raiding and almost never return to Delves ever again. M+ rewards Heroic raid loot every time you do them and Mythic in the vault at the top end.
Dps players have constantly complained about never being invited to M+ on a regular basis . This is Blizzards way to fixing that problem . Enjoy !
T8 bountiful delves reward 606, and the vault item that comes from running them is 616.
Those are pretty nice rewards, especially given that a group makes T8 delves fairly easy to complete.
Take a friend along. My wife and I ran a few Tier 8 delves together this Wednesday and didn’t have a problem. She got a 606 gun from one of the bountiful ones. Two of our vault loots now sit at 616 for the coming week.
The recent hotfixes have borked the scaling in both group and solo. If you haven’t played them since the hot fix you’re in for a big surprise.
counter point, as a solo player they feel very worth it to me. I am looking forward to my vault this week. If you don’t like them thats ok, there is other content in the game. in particular if your trying to group them. There is so much other content to do.
Either they was reverted long ago or there was literally no change for solo, cause I did them just fine a bit ago and there was no new issues felt exactly the same.
I’m having to go back and see what “changes” were made also. Ran a few 8s this morning and it feels exactly the same
If you’re worried about gear, run bountiful delves and use your keys. Have gotten several 603s in the last two days with some 610s from the maps that drop.
Great Vault will be 616.
There are some issues with Delves, but the gear you can get isn’t one of them IMO.
Indeed but it was also being tuned for them the high casual, heroic and M+ folks but like you said that will fade but it won’t be tuned for the solo and the part timer which it was being marketed towards.
It was suppose to change things up and be something other then world quests and world events but its being more of a pillar of the start of raid progression. For the M+ player who can’t get a group or their raid team to help them so its something they can do to progress and be ready when their raid leader tells them to have their list done.
I don’t understand this. How this any different than WQ?
They can be changed up internally. Different paths and objectives they stated. Different mini optional objectives and places where loot is. It’s more modular then WQ’s
The reward for a delve t8 is a 616 on Tuesday, three 616 choices if you do all of them. It is absolutely worth it.
Anyone who says otherwise has absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Once m+ launches then you might have an argument.
