im running a resto drood in T11 and Bran just had me fail 2 in a row due to standing in bad and taking way too much damage… im legit hard casting with all 3 trees on him in a circle of love and cannot keep him alive… if pacifist rig spawns, bran dies cause im not hard healing and then I get disconnected exiting pacifist rig, delves are fun but this is just bad developing! it is plainly obvious not 1 of these devs has fired up a new toon (with normal gear NOT GM gear) and actually played for a week or 2…
Yeah, came here to say same thing. I can EASILY do delves as a tank that require much higher iLevels than I have. Was doing tier 11’s at, like, 635 gear. Just went in to do a tier 8 with a tank Brann as my mage and he just goes down like a sack of bricks. This whole system has forced me to put more work into leveling classes with a tank spec and then just switching to dps when I’m not doing delves, as leveling any non-tank class is going to be incredibly painful from what I’m seeing, at least compared to the alternative. Tank Brann needs SIGNIFICANT upgrades. Not fair to those who are playing priest, warlock, mage, shaman, etc. as it is.
Tank brann is designed to work with healers.
I personally like using tank brann on my mage, but my brann is max level and my mage is over-geared so take that for what it’s worth.
Tank brann does work fine for mage, but it’s a little unintuitive. He’s gonna die. You’ll need to either cc the mobs and rez him, or just kite once he dies and forget about him until that pack is dead. He’s good at grouping up mobs so you can nuke them, and he holds agro like a beast. But he can’t do it for long.
My biggest issue with Brann when using him as a tank on my healer is the way he jumps all over the place like a loon to the point where he resets last boss and constantly out ranges you and/or pulls 2 or three packs at once.
I find it especially bad in the underwater delves compared to the others.
off-topic but does “Delves need fixed” parse weird to anybody else? i know it’s a regionalism but i see it so often on this forum compared to anywhere else on the internet. not everyone here is from the midwest, right? ![]()
That ilvl just seems way too low. I just started doing tier 11 at 652. Got my 3 done for the week. And even then they are challenging and I died a few times. ((the game says 658+ for tier 11 and I don’t know why people act like it doesn’t matter. Maybe you think it’s too lenient but I don’t personally…))
People underestimate the difficulty of delves just because you are by yourself and don’t also have to deal with toxic real people. The mechanics themselves are still toxic, this is Ion we’re talking about lol.
While very skilled gamers can do them earlier, at that level it seems like torturing yourself. I don’t see the point. I don’t even have to do them now, but I was just a bit anxious to get the tier 11 achievement because the season is ending soon.
Can anybody confirm if there’s a hidden mechanic where it still keeps tracks of your deaths from last time even if you reset? And gives you gear based on what you need balanced with your deaths accordingly. I swear it feels like if I do really well and don’t die I get a piece of gear I really need, but if I die even once I’m punished. (even if I reset) Maybe it’s just my imagination or RNG or a coincidence but I swear it happens a lot.
