From my point of view, the delves are meh content, and the only reason to do them is the rewards. This sort of extrinsic reward motivation is a sign of a poorly designed game system, at least to me personally.
Does he only do that as DPS? I see mobs go thirty to zero occasionally when heâs heals, but there might be other random buffs/mechanics doing that.
In particular, more health is not difficulty, itâs just not fun.
If you can make it through 2 rotations of a trash mobâs abilities, the mob should be dead, not going through another 6 rotations.
An endless succession of slow fights that you know youâre going to win unless you choke on a Hot Pocket is not exciting.
Trash and quest mobs with too much health are never exciting.
Exactly. I donât mind losing a 30 second fight but I despise winning 10 consecutive identical 3 minute fights.
If a mobâs abilities donât kill me, I should be able to kill it in a reasonable length of time. By âshouldâ I mean that this is the point where good game design ends up.
Having 2-3x the amount of health beyond whatâs required to know whether a player can beat a mob or pack is just not fun and is bad design.
A single mob/boss that is just on the edge of survivability over 2-3 minutes is a good experience. A succession of mobs that are easily survivable but take all day to die is a bad experience. Let the difficulty be in the damage output and mechanics. FFS not the boredom boss of massive health.
I havenât noticed that he does much better DPS as âdamageâ and he definitely does better heals as âhealer.â By the time âExecute!â comes around Iâm already 2-3 minutes into fights
Horrific vision, Torghast, delves. I would agree, the only reason to do them more than a couple of times is the rewards.
But of the three, delves are the most painfully boring. But I think the main problem is, delves are stepping directly on the loot structure of the rest of the game. The previous two were just for upgrading your legos.
- Learn to play your class
- Your ilvl is severely below the recommended
- Bran scales with ilvl, not just with his own level.
Delves are not mandatory for progression. The problem with Torghast was that it was mandatory for progression. Delves just give gear, which you can also get from other sources.
Iâve been hoping they add more difficult solo content, so Iâd hate to see them throw delves away. I hope they keep the top end difficulty, but tune them as needed of course.
A max tier delve should be something that not everyone can complete due to the skill level required, even if it only rewards cosmetics at that level. Hot take, I know.
Well a few days ago they were âmandatoryâ given the failed scaling mechanics that Blizzard deployed. Now of course we must suffer the overreaction. Instead of removing gear or currency from a handful of people, or just letting it go, Blizzard removes fun from everyone else.
Why are you making Brann heal? You are a tank put him on dps and stop being a silly clown.
stop being not ignored kthxbai
lmao so fragile
Yea playing as a tank is awful.
I understand the intended purpose of Brann, to shore up the weakness of certain classes. But companion quests have always been annoying.
I really really really wish he would stop standing on tiny things that I need to interact with, especially if THERE IS FIRE COMING FFS MOVE YOUR INTERNET BREAKING BUTT BRANN
