No gear in the world would allow you to survive an unavoidable 24+ million hit. Not unless Blizzard wants us to wait multiple seasons for ilvls to balloon out HP and even by the end of the expansion I don’t think non-tanks will have HP that high. And this was only on a 10, so on an 11 the damage would be exponentially higher.
Right now the common wall and complaint with solo Delves is spell casters because they either cast too often to reasonably keep them interrupted or they have an absurdly powerful spell that can’t be stopped so you’re apparently expecting to just eat it and hope that your HP and CDs are enough. The damage we’re seeing definitely looks like a scaling issue that can’t be solved just by boosting your ilvl.
You are also trying to complete Delve tiers that give zero benefits in terms of rewards because it caps out at T8. T9-11 are specifically for bragging rights which should take longer than the first week.
Again, Bran’s level makes a significant impact and you are entirely ignoring it in this discussion.
Are you talking about those 2 named ascended Nerubians?
They appeared in a T9 for me last night blocking the door to the boss & standing next to the last miner i had to free, up until this point I had zero deaths - they then proceeded to 1 shot me 5 seconds into each attempt fully depleting my death count…
Putting the overall argument to one side for a moment, the one good thing that might come out of all of this is that the toxic hardcore type won’t use the RD(elves)F, but instead will try to solo them (for their own self ego reasons), making the RDF less toxic to do.
if true, then tuning will probably be done in the coming weeks. It’s not unusual for Blizzard to wait and see what progress looks like once people reach the intended gear level for the content their doing. Doesn’t mean it’ll be tuned even if some or even a great number of people are still experiencing problems though as they will likely also analyze whats causing those deaths to determine if it’s a skill issue or not. Barring it being determined a skill or ilevel issue blizzard will definetly tune it. We see this happen in all content forms.
5 ilvl isint going to make get getting machine gunned down by a mob that’s un ccable/un interruptable survivable without me popping everything. Expecting actual solo players to be able to deal with this is hilarious
Ok. I have around 592 at the moment and recommendation is 610. My Brann is lvl 18 atm.
Mobs will initially look at me so there is no time for me to wait Brann get aggro for the entire pack.
Now, the question is, does a full 610 gears character survive under auto attacks from 3 mobs w/ 2 millions each? If you can’t , can you survive the 24 million Aoe damage if you don’t have a kit to CC the mob at range?
Are you equating solo players to being bad? The two are not mutually exclusive. I was able to clear T8s solo with lower ilvl than you so I’m not sure what to tell you. You are also singling out ilvl from my argument when the largest impact thing I discussed was about Bran.
Okay, so you are 20 ilvls below and Bran is 18/60? Again, you are trying to zoom past progression on week one and getting bent cause it’s going to take longer. Again, rewards stop at T8, you don’t need to do T11 on week 1.
The average are less skilled yes, expecting them to know how to utilize all of their utility to complete t8s will just result in this content failing hard for them lol
Youre a paladin? It’s almost as if different classes have different survivability. Let alone the fact that ret is more or less ranged at this point
To be fair I think their argument deals more with solo players not having the same kit as a group has. The argument I have been seeing reoccurring here in the thread is that delves feel tuned for group play where you have a full kit available.
But you can easily see the problem when you actually doing this level.
Brann do handle a lot of damage and tanking even at 18. But everything just happens in less than 10 seconds, it is not a sufficient time for Brann to get enough threats.
