Delves, if you do a lot which are your favorites and why?

So this doesn’t necessarily mean easiest or fastest, although depending on how many you do it could be a big factor.

For me I know they are usually easy but I don’t like Fungal Folly, I think that is the one you use spores to blow up the mobs?

I also don’t like any of the underwater ones, I just feel some abilities don’t play well with the Z axis in those.

I actually think I like all versions of the Dread Pit in the Rolling deeps, they happen to be pretty fast if you know what you’re doing. One version is mostly searching webs for captives and another uses the mobs to blow themselves up (I know, I know I didn’t like that part of the fungal but here it just feels more predictable I guess.)

I also like all versions of the Spiral Weave they tend to mostly be combat combat combat so as you get more gear you can blow through them quicker, also really really quickly if you just want lower level ones to fill up vault slots for a socket.

I enjoy most of the Delves tbh, it really is just the underwater ones that I actively dislike. The breath mechanic is annoying and the vertical axis for whether or not you actually hit the bubble/get air is very funky.

Everyone made Fungal Folly sound like it would be a nightmare but it ain’t bad on my Devoker.

I like the one in Hallowfall that’s in the cave full of the cultists. I forget the name, but it’s the one where you dodge the purple circles from the little airships.

Fungal Folly - Amazing scenery and the boss fight fun. I really love getting the story where you have to complete the five explorer league challenge

Underkeep - Love the layout, it’s a very big place, the Runaway Pheromone is another favorite of mine

Myromancer - Similar vibes like FF, you get to ride around on an elephant doll :joy:

Earthcrawl - I’m pretty bias towards it since this was my first delve, I might like all 3 stories here equally, the one with the moving cart edges out

Spiral Weave - Starts off big but turns into s corridor as you progress, I love all 3 stories here as well

KR and WW - I enjoy both of them but I do find them more fun in a group, feels like going on a DnD adventure a bit

Dread Pit - I really love the atmosphere here, especially the story where you have to rescue the kobolds in webs

Nightfall Sanctum - I’ll say I enjoy all 3 stories here as well, I love the one where you fly to the ship on the harpoon lol

I love most of the Delves, Tak, Sinkhole, and Skittering Breach have their moments but ugh. SB’s Shadow Realm story is just… Lol

I like most of them, learning their gimmicks to make a smooth run is cool. I don’t particularly like the mycomancer one near the start, you know the small ledges with AoEs? I do want to do the Night Cult one more, that place seems neat!

Earthcrawl Mines + Flame thrower story > all else.

Least favorite - Kriegval’s Rest. The spinning flamethrowers are a pain I don’t seem to be able to avoid.

Most favorite - the 2 water delves. I love underwater areas and sea monsters.

Also liked - Fungal and Mycomancer because jumping around via the mushrooms is fun. Spiral Weave and the Dread Pit because they’re easy and have good stories.

My favorite is Fungal Folly. It’s the first one I did when I got to play in beta for a while. It seemed incredibly, crazily over-tuned w/mobs that hit very hard and had a ton of health. We were given good gear in the beta that we could grab from a vendor, but I don’t know what the scaling was between the gear and the Delve, itself. It seemed pretty crazy, tbh. Wasn’t what I expected from a “level 1”. lol

At one point, I looked around the delve and I really liked the art/aesthetic of the place. Dark but w/vibrant colors. (A fishing hole??)

I still love the mushroom-guy noises. X) They’re so funny.

And the music. I stopped a few moments and listened to the music. It’s gorgeous. It’s my favorite music in the game for this expac (along w/the main Hallowfall theme that plays in the WoW Log-in.)

When TWW came out, I felt I had a personal grudge w/this delve! Dang it! So I ran it a lot and it wound up becoming my favorite.

I really like Delves. They’re even more fun w/other people, because the atmosphere of most groups is pretty chill; people seem to actually communicate and joke around a bit more. We’d point out if we see a treasure or curiosity to grab. It’s interesting to see how people will play in delves as they may take a different approach to what I’ve been doing; I learn a few things.

I actually really like having Brann there. I’ve been a fan of his since he started coming with us into dungeons in Wotlk. I set him as a healer and just back-in or straife into his healing potions. (He usually throws 'em right near my feet.) He also has a big glowy-looking ability that heals well. I dps, but Brann still does some, too. – I like hearing his banter. xD – I know some folks don’t like having Brann around as they say he can pull stuff or other issues, but I haven’t had this experience. I’m just real careful where I go on my character. My main-alt is a Hunter, so I’m used to having a companion and I kinda like that. S’fun.

edit: Ah, yah, the big Spore swirlies. Gosh, those can be annoying. lol xD I got really, really good at avoiding them. Some groups use the swirlies to damage the mobs, yet I still tend to just avoid them, completely.

I also really like the kobold one w/the lit candles, trying to keep the candle lit.

My favorite are not under water or polluted. Then polluted, then stupid water.

The only ones I actively avoid are the water ones. Pathing issues, evading mobs, Brann and pets acting weird. They just aren’t worth the hassle.

Otherwise I just do whatever ones are closest, mostly the ones in Dornogal because I can fly out to the bountiful one, kill it, then fly right back. If I am doing daily/weekly quests somewhere else and it has a bountiful nearby I’ll do it if I need more for my vault.

Kriegvills rest and underkeep are fun times.

Thanks everyone, lots of things to think about as I am grinding lots of delves on lots of lower geared alts this week.

I tend to do that one most as well - I find it easiest because I am so familiar with it

I like that one except the one that included an ambush in the middle where you have to wait for and defeat 37 mobs that just seems to be such a slog.

I like the ones with Kobolds, Nerubians, and Humans. I dislike Kobyss and Spores.

Nightfall Sanctum and Skittering Breach are the standouts because they feel like effort went into making them cool. Honestly the kobold ones and the other nerubian ones feel like they were procedurally generated using a handful of pieces. Fungal ones just seem like generic caves. Underwater ones are kinda neat once but get annoying eventually. I feel like your breath should last a bit longer.

Delves are okay. I prefer the faster ones, like Fungal Folly and Mycomancer. Thematically, I like the delves w the cultists. The worst ones are the underwater zones, but that’s because Brann insists on pulling all the sharks…at once. :woman_facepalming::rofl:

Hmmm that’s a tough one but probably the dread pit one because it’s pretty easy and pretty quick regardless which of the three versions it is, bonus points if it’s the bountiful over waterworks.

I enjoy pretty much all of them, with the exception of Earthcrawl Mines as I don’t like the final boss with the carts.
