Delves help

Is there a comprehensive source for all things delves (builds, curios, Brann role, etc) for Season 3 yet?

I’ve seen on wowhead and icy certain builds but I havent really found anything comprensive out there yet. I’m somewhat new to delves and pretty new to Season 3. Just looking for a really helpful guide for those like myself

Wowhead still seems like the best to me. It’s got details about Brann’s roles and curios.

If you just want anecdotal opinions though, I’ve been going with healer Brann, and using the hat one and the audio amplifier one. I haven’t experimented much though. These juet seem to work really well.

Def go with the hat…but I use the healing curio and pretty much use Brann as a tank despite mostly playing DPS classes. Brann can heal himself, and even as a tank he provides some healing for you. Brann also does good DPS as a tank, and I figure that if he’s going to pull everything…he can tank it too. If your DPS is really low, you might have to go with him as a healer until you come up a bit.
But, no…unlike dungeons, there aren’t really any delve guides out there.

The hat is dog water once you discover the +15% damage curio.

This seasons curios are more so for buffing you, not dealing absurds amount of damage through brann dps.

Then take the speed/shield curio.

I found these to be the best curios for Brann for Season 3 for Tank, Healer and DPS.

I personally prefer the Quizzical Device and Tailwind Conduit for all 3 Brann specs.

Also, for Delves, try to push the Delve Tier difficulty you’re most comfortable with. Once you’ve gotten the feel of that difficulty and progress in gearing your character, bump up the tier level by 1. They DO increase in HP pool and damage per tier, so, it’s a safe bet to inch your way up the ladder instead of skipping steps.

One of the best Delves out there is Fungal Folly. Use those Spores to your advantage since they will not only damage you, it damages mobs as well. Ensure before the Spore detonates, you’re out of the green circle, they deal massive damage and can potentially one shot you if you’re not careful enough.

Also, Sidestreet Sluce in Undermine is great too. A simple yet not so difficult Delve to complete. Both of these Delve should be repeated once you’ve expended your Coffer Keys for Bountiful Delves since both of those Delves I’ve mentioned are rather quick to complete and you’ll fill up your Delve Great Vault slots quickly.

Other than that, WoWHead in my opinion has a pretty good “basic” guide to get you started. Ultimately, you should complete all of the Delves at least once, just so you have experience with them.

Personally, as DPS that may not have the best “self-heal” spells or abilities, I have Brann as “Healer”. As Tank, Brann is DPS. I don’t have a Healer character, so, essentially, you’d want Brann to be either Tank or DPS, just depends on squishy you are, you might want Brann being the Tank since you can heal him up. He may not do the best “damage” in Tank spec, but at least the mobs, most of the time will be concentrated on him instead of you.

Good luck to you and your adventures in Delves!! :+1:

I stick with Hatarang and Battered Aegis…haven’t had any issues using those. I could see how Tailwind could help you finish quicker, but meh…most delves are quick enough.
Demonology Warlock without a lot of self-heals…but running Brann as a tank is fast and with him self healing it helps. I’m not finding 11s the challenge they were at the beginning of season 2.
Maybe I’ll try Quizzical Device…but so far, it doesn’t seem to matter much.

It’s not about the speed.
It’s about the second effect.

Using a defensive cooldown while in combat has gusts of wind surround you, applying a shield for 8 sec equal to 50% of your missing health.

Defensives are pretty useless since even rank 11 delves are so easy.

Hatarang(+35% damage taken to enemies) for Combat and Battered Aegis(constant +12% damage done) for Utility are the best, and if you do happen to have trouble surviving the Aegis’ healing isn’t too bad(you heal for 20% of damage taken). If you see a bunch of elites near the beginning and can guarantee yourself plenty of stacks for the entire run, Temporal Decelerator Crystal can be better than Battered Aegis but otherwise it isn’t worth it. Quizzical Device is good in theory but seems to have much, much less uptime than Hatarang(which seems like almost 100% uptime) in my experience.

That’s my current set up too.
I’ve gotten that Brann image curio that starts out 90% weaker than Brann, but I’m not sure how good that will be even when it’s maxed out to 60% weaker than Brann.

Hatarang and Battered Aegis are the best. I got both of them to rank 4 and 11s are pretty easy for me now. But idk I’ve only done like 5 11s so far so we’ll see, but they are going well so far.

If your Hatarang isn’t ranked up yet, I personally found Mana glasses to be better than Quizzical Device but ymmv. All the other ones are… meh.

The one where Brann clones himself sounds cool in theory but math wise it’s so weak I think. And I don’t like speedrunning stuff usually so I don’t like Tailwind but if you are trying to be efficient or save time somehow that could be an option.

Pre-week I did all 8s. First week I did mostly 8s again and a few 10s. This week I did 10s and 11s. Next week I will do all 11s to get max Delver’s journey exp. Work on getting gilded crests from 11s to craft a 720 weapon with your sparks. I’m not there yet but I’m working on it.

I see…doesn’t really work for my spec…but I get it

Every search for details about curios was kind of frustrating. The guides -and especially the videos- I found offer no other information than what is on the tooltips.
I don’t know exactly what the audio amplification device does. . . (besides what it says in the tooltip, of course)

Everything has been covered here. I would add that the battered aegis is great, but it’s value diminishes if you are prone to dying.

Yeah, the curios are for the first time without a real meme spec. Some are great, if you have a dispel ability, others if your a bit tanky, and others still if you kite a lot. Have to use the ones that fit your class and playstyle this season.

Which is w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l!

I just use Hatarang and Battered Aegis. They seem to work well for me.

I miss my Pocket Factory. :slightly_frowning_face:

Quizzical and Aegis.

If I’m on a squishy DPS, Brann is Tank. If I’m on my War/DK, he’s heals.

Current Brann Tank is indestructible if you don’t over-pull.
