Delves-Good news

It is fixable, it just requires them capitulating on “let the players win FFS.”

This is clear response to players getting comfortable with effort economics math. can’t have comfort. Comfort lets us plan to be successful. Success has to be a crap shoot because… honestly I’m getting more and more depressed going down this rabbit hole.

This was supposed to be the “let the players win” lane. I’m just grinding brann XP in T4’s and 5 bountifuls, hoarding keys until it feels more “intended” to push.

They used Copilot for development and ChatGPT for marketing and copy, with no one left for QA.

Hopefully it wont be a roller coaster ride until they get all the tweaks smoothed out at the very end of the expansion.

I wonder how many will even bother doing them in two weeks. I definitely will keep doing them though cause this is kinda for me, but I bet a lot will move on to M+.

Idk tuning is a bit wonky but there pretty fun honestly

Pretty much.

They are still too easy

It was fine before the hotfix, they could revert it and it would be fine, but we all know they won’t.

It’s more than that.

It’s things like your companion putting a giant glowing dodecagon with big glowey beams shooting out of it infront of your camera.

Looks really pretty, but I’m very skeptical anyone actually played the game with this giant effect obscuring your view.

I think so too, yet some people don’t like that idea. They still want some “tuning”

I believe in a good challenge. I really do. But these encounters are crushing on Bountiful 8+. To the point you need to out gear them making the loot simply a MoG farm later in the expansion.

These are in no way fun solo player progression content. I mean I get that these are intended to last for the long term. But challenge doesn’t equal reward. Raid mobs didn’t hit me this hard this week. Please fix the scaling.

Make no mistake I’d like them to revert it right now and work through the weekend to get us a better adjustment next Tuesday.

That’s just not going to happen though.

Conceptually they were doomed from the start.

You cannot create a single instance that every spec can handle without making it literally free for some specs.

This is why there were 7 mage tower challenges.

A few people here are very upset that there was an easy way to get gear comparable to the boring hard content that takes forever to do that they enjoy and so they feel everyone should also have to do it their way instead of having other options, it’s safe to ignore those clowns and the ones wanting it to be difficult.

so do we try and solve it for Bliz? Or can we work it out and say levels - 1 thru 5 are this, 5 thru 8 are this and nine is the qualifier for 10?

people act like the whole expansion is ruined because the devs are having to fix bugs and balance during the first week of these being released live

Not only this but you can’t balance content for solo to 5 players either.

It’s an all around horizontal and vertical failure of a concept.

Unfortunately it was always going to end up as something hard-scaled to ilvl to make it impossible for everyone to a point, then possible for everyone after that point. That’s what we all should have seen coming.

depends on when concrete is mixed

the point is none of this is set in stone

It simply becomes another much shorter type of 5-man dungeon at that point. Brann and his pet are most often useless in almost every group comp. But yes his scaling along with scaling the mobs for group comp make this a very difficult thing to balance.

At the end of the day, maybe they just needed to keep this solo and more of a Mage Tower experience. It was advertised as a solo player progression system.
