What is happening is that im clicking a chest, but hte parallax view of the teleporter gets in the way unbeknowingly, and you teleport ooutby mistake and lose your delve progress
The first delve I ever did I clicked that thing by accident because it is so close to the chests! Meaning, I received no reward. Was so mad at myself…
You know it’s an issue but you still can’t pay enough attention at end of delve? Dear Lord you have the power to solve this yourself
They’re making a helpful suggestion, you saying they can’t pay enough attention is a you issue.
I saw this yesterday, in a couple of the delves the copter is right above the bountiful delve chest and you have to aim your camera the right way to click on the chest. If you don’t click on it, then you lose the bountiful tag on the delve and the gear.
Do you not understand the concept of having a good aesthetic and attention to detail? Do you not understand that seeing sloppy stuff like this takes something away from the game for some people? Do you not understand the frustration this will cause people who do accidentally click on the copter? Or how simple it would be for them to move it a few yards? Sheesh
Hmmm I’ve never clicked out before not once. It’s literally a pay attention issue. Dear Lord y’all blame peeps for everything.
Yeah, that’s the reason I quickly got in the habit of walking behind the chests to loot them
If you’re talking about the bot that carries you out, you don’t have to leave when it drops you, you can just walk back to the treasure room, no harm, no foul.
One of the new delves spawns you too far away from the entrance to enter once you leave so someone out there will have a really bad time with this.
At any rate, why excuse and defend design mistake? Clearly if one of the devs/designers had their attention on this for a moment they would move the bot a little away from the chests, it is quite an easy fix
If the copter is moved to one side, and the chests are placed on the other side, it would be a lot easier for players.
Right now, the copter being placed on top of chests is just trollish.
You would last two seconds in web design.
“Why did you place this drop down menu over top of a search bar in a place the mouse cursor commonly travels and triggers it by mistake this making it get in the way? Move it somewhere else.”
“Too bad. Users should pay more attention. Not my problem.”
“There’s the door. Collect your belongings.”
Their own quality assurance team would no doubt have noticed the potential to click the wrong thing by accident. If they had one anyway. And I recall people have been calling out Brahn himself for getting in the way of clickable elements since TWW launched. It’s not exactly a new issue.
No it totally took me out of side Street and placed me in the middle of ringing deeps
I’ve never had a bot take me out of the Delve, could be it was a bug?
Or, you could just pay more attention to where you’re clicking. If the bot glows yellow, don’t click on it!
I didn’t personally lose any gear to this, but I’ve seen how it ports you out in Sidestreet Sluice, and it’s hard not to notice how poorly thought-out the placement is. I suppose it takes a certain level of awareness to recognize how frustrating that would be for someone who did lose their loot.
As I said before, I’ve never clicked on a bot that’s taken me out of the Delve. In all cases, I’ve had to walk out of the Delve to leave it.
It’s impressive, really – most people would at least pretend to consider another perspective.
I do, it’s just that the OP said it took them out of the Delve, which doesn’t happen. More likely, they got dropped at the entrance of the Delve and walked out and only realised after they didn’t loot the main chest.
Ah, yes. silly me for thinking that design should account for predictable human behavior rather than punishing it.
Still a major issue, i can’t tell you how much extra time i spend maneuvering my camera or doing a second approach to try and get my pet and Brann out of the way so i can click on an item, thank God I’m an engineer so i don’t have to worry about them when it comes to looting things
For good or ill, the current implementation makes binding an interact key absolutely mandatory, because there are always too many overlapping hitboxes to use the mouse.
