Delves aren't balanced some classes struggle, others excel

Leveled a bm hunter to 80 got some timewalking gear, doing tier 8 delves at 590 item level where other classes like mage struggle. Pet only died twice and doesn’t seem to take any damage from AOE, how is this fair to all the other classes that need tank bran?

The classes can’t be balanced without stripping all class identity from them.

The only classes that need tank Brann are the healers. DPS are supposed to use healer Brann. The potions can carry any dps if used appropriately.

I have found things to be pretty variable. I use healer Bran with all characters.

My BM Hunter is great but has a weakness for certain swarm events and bosses that have them.

My Prot Paladin is fairly hard to stop but kills things pretty slow.

My Affliction Warlock is similar to my Hunter but not quite as effective overall.

And this character (Feral Druid) just simply takes a freakin beating in melee range… to the point where I have to spec into healing and defenses until my damage output suffers. It’s not always a good time.

I do not endorse destroying good enough for perfection

This will always happen with one size fits all solo content.

Correct, they aren’t balanced.

Which is why Delves are pushover content with no mechanics and just raw numbers. That can be dealt with. No one is unable to complete T11 Delves, so it’s good enough.

Comparing a hunter to a mage is hardly fair as pet classes have always been easier in these types of situations. It’s been this way since WoW came out. Mages have their own ways of dealing with things but are known as glass cannons typically.

not true, in classic mages were an op dps class, the only class able to pull entire dungeons worth of stuff and just melt it all down.

Only as long as they kept those mobs at a distance , if they got in melee said OP mage was eating dirt. Hence glass cannon.

Balancing Delves for each class is beyond the scope of the feature. Tank Brann is made to require a healer, he lacks self sustain.

Healer Brann is a beast!

The main issues are:

  1. Armor classes, Plate is just better than all others. Cloth…well you might as well be naked.
  2. BM Hunters damage is offloaded to the pet, they do about 60% of the damage for the spec. This means that the pet can’t die all the time. The only way to solve that was to make them mostly immune to AoEs, and a lot of Dots.

Uhh, there is still a lot of luck with melee dps. Potions are not a god-mode drink. As a melee you are facing a ton of melee damage, on top of spells. Especially on some of the new bosses that are overtuned.

Things would be simpler for mages if the bosses aren’t immune to our CC.

some dps classes survive better if they have tank brann over healer brann. i actually had to swap off of destro to go demo just for delves because the tank brann nerfs and the fact healer brann wasnt healing good enough (why not use voidwalker instead you may ask, well, that guy has been useless for a decade now)

They nerfed his AoE taunt into the ground. Blueberry needs a overhaul

That’s part of the thing they want players to use their whole kits such as blink , mirror image , ice block ect to get through the encounters. Same as say a priest could be using MC on a mob prior to a boss if they want to risk it breaking , but the reward is there for using said abilities.

Sadly the blueberry hasn’t seen much love simply because blizz see’s other pets being used for group content and basically expect you to go demo for solo content.

You speak like I won’t use the rest of my toolkit if roots and snares worked on bosses. I mean sure I can probably skip the rest of my toolkit if every boss was Patchwerk with no mechanics.

Simply saying many people would take the easy road if they could infinitely CC a boss with zero risks.
