True but the entire game is like that. Nothing about WoW is that fun except getting better gear for your character. Let’s remove all gear and rewards from Mythic raids and then see how many people would really do it lol. For a fantasy game the fights feel so dry and mechanical despite the cartoony and whimsical graphics . Raiding or dungeons never scratched the itch either. The entire game is boring and trashy except for getting gear. It doesn’t hurt to admit that, and casuals deserve to progress their characters as well as anyone else. Delves should have been released many expansions ago tbh but… I guess good if they are finally learning.
These forums really need to stop using forced. There are multiple Tiers so you aren’t forced into something you can’t do.
Just be honest and say your OCD or some other mental issue makes you feel forced to do 8’s because that’s where ethe best gear is and some streamer said not to waste keys on any Tier less than that.
Everyone on beta tells people its essentially torghast. Goes live as essentially torghast.
Community is shocked.
No one was forced anything. People’s obsessive need to burn through things is what caused this problem .
Delves were meant to play out through the season like M+ key dungeons. No one doing those expects to be KSM after the first 2 weks of M+ runs .
People just need to step back and evalutate the situation . I say try a harder level delve and if you are successful cool and if not drop down to a lower one and gear up until you feel comfortable with trying the higher level one again .
Now if you get the better gear but can’t get past the higher level it may or may not be a Blizz issue . It could be an issue with that player where they have reached a plateau in what they can do .
This is my only real problem with Delves. There is too little avoidable damage. They need to add in more abilities like ones in Plunderstorm, where players have to dodge them. Or by solving a puzzle, or going left, and killing a mini boss, you then, get a buff, which reflects a portion of or drastically reduces the damage taken from an ability.
Right now with Delves, in week one, there is a large spec disparity. Specs with pets, or sustain make them easy. Tanks have an easy time, but they feel like walking through knee deep mud, as things take forever to die.
With gear we will just be able to nuke things down quickly, but there really isnt anything engaging in Delves, besides pulling less, and just trying to survive. There is potential. There was the nerubian one where you can shoot webs onto the posts and navigate around mobs. There were the bombs you could kill to cause a chain explosion to kill other mobs. There is potential.
But then you have those ones with the candle and the kobolds with a ton of health. You loose candle light by moving. So you want to stand still and just face tank to avoid the candle running out… Which just feels bad. Or the underwater one, where you can get punted off the ledge and fall to your death… under water.
Loads of potential. They just need to iterate on aspects that just arent having to do more DPS and survive more incoming damage.
Solid advice. They aren’t forcing this on anyone. Any pressure to get maxed out gear this early is self-inflicted. I would add to consider that at this time, class is not agnostic, some will have a harder time than others… I’m a rogue. I’m not wearing plate. My self-healing is crap. I do have CCs galore, but kiting? Not exactly a thing I can do. So when someone tells you to “git gud, ltp, skill issue” for not clearing higher levels than you can currently, consider the source.
Also, each Delve has its own challenges. Clearing one easily might not mean all at that level will be.
On that note, one crashed three times on me last night and the quest kobold died another time before completing the quest. Beware of Trust Issues in Waterworks.
I also refuse to listen to people who believe you should enchant and gem explorer and adventurer gear when the cost to do so is ridiculously high right now for something you will quickly replace. Also won’t listen to people who have people crafting 600+ ilvl gear for them. So my next challenge to myself is to clear a level 7, but I’ve accepted I’ll attempt that after I have gear I feel is worth spending the tens of thousands of gold to enchant right now (veteran and above or crafted equivalent). But that’s a challenge I put on myself.
You can put the air totem/candle down. That’s how I’ve been dealing with those. Put them down and then pull them toward you in groups you can manage.
Unless they are casters and you’re melee then ugh…
Oh gods this! Yes, this is just annoying
OMG Delves aren’t perfectly tuned in the first week they launched, better panic!
It took them 3 expansions to get M+ to a good place, delves probably will take until the end of this expansion to settle into its niche.
It’s solo content why would it require raid Ilvls. I swear some people just don’t think before they type.
It’s designed as challenging solo/group content.
It’s not going to be open world level braindead.
I know. You’re a prime example.
I have no trouble clearing these things with the gear they drop.
So I am a prime example of the fact that you did not think before you type.
Hah thanks no one gets it lol, i think your the only one
Considering my comment wasn’t directed at you it’s hilarious.
Actually you’re a prime example of taking something not said to you, getting offended, and telling others that they don’t think before they speak…all while speaking without thinking.
The irony is hilarious.
They can be cleared with the gear they drop, not raid gear, which you claimed was needed. You can be wrong and admit it or keep attacking and still be wrong that’s up to you.
That’s not what I said at all.
Reading is fundamental
The irony here as you’re completely wrong and keep thinking you’re going to “gotcha” me.
Seems it is exactly what you said.
Then you should seriously work on reading
The key word you seem to have missed is ilvls. I said nothing about raid gear.
Look I’m 576 with no IO since SL. It’s OBVIOUSLY malicious gatekeepers holding me back from week 1 ksm
So is this it then no more content just changing the existing content instead of increasing the difficulty as the expansion goes on like a normal game. Bait and switch is an understatement
What are you even rambling about?
Delves are intended to be progressed over the course of the tier. It’s not designed to be a finish week one and have nothing to do.
