But why cap rewards at Tier 8?
They may be allowing for higher gear in later seasons from tier 9 and up.
Because the majority of difficulty in WoW comes from coordination and solo content can’t really emulate that, increasing the damage / healing of the mobs doesn’t really add much besides frustration and time investment.
T8 seems to be a glass ceiling anyway
We get the Feat of strength “Nemesis” for beating Zek’vir on ? difficulty.

So kind of like m+ were after a certain key level it’s just achievements, tmogs and bragging rights.
I agree with Tiffany, I’m sure in later versions we will get other stuff, maybe better rewards.
damage., healing and mechanics are all we got to work with in this type of content so psure thats the dials that are going to get turned to make things more or less difficult.
