I understand this has been a hot topic for the past week or so. But the delve tuning is legitimately a huge problem right now. Being a higher Ilevel than the reccomended level, but still not being able to actually do the content even with using all your buttons feels horrible. I’ve had, just this morning, (3) teams break apart because content was taking too long and/or people died and I’ve gotten to the last boss 2x solo but been unable to beat them because they do too much unavoidable damage. The damage and health scaling is about 10x too high for the value gain.
Not to mention the amount of mobs that pull you out of stealth just due to doing the delve correctly is too high. Rogues, for example, have a ton of their kit built around being able to start combat from stealth. However, some delves require you to talk to NPC’s and spawn a mob. When these mobs spawn, they’re instantly aggrod on you regardless of stealth or not. This is super bad for classes that rely on that.
Not to mention that we have a limited number of tries to get the delve done without taking penalties. How does that translate to a person who can’t play every day and is just casually experiencing things?
I heard prior to release of these that the intent was to create a solo experience that is enjoyable. If that is truly the goal, you have failed miserably. This is M+ light with some how more kicks required for less reward. I don’t want to be a doomer, and I have been pretty quiet about this until I’ve experienced it, but the tuning on this has left a blemish on this content so bad that it will likely not be interacted with past this week outside of achievement hunters.
Being of a certain iLVL doesn’t mean that you get an auto-win. That’s now how this game typically works. If you personally need a higher iLVL than the recommended one, that’s perfectly fine, but that’s on you. That does not suggest a game wide problem.
Them nerfing the hell out of Brann doesn’t help either. Brann can hardly hold aggro let alone do any sort of damage now. He does most of his damage with his execute, but his base amount is so low you can pull aggro as a healer with two heal spells. It is super pathetic.
Daily bountiful keys + Deaths. Both limit the amount of time you can actually do content that rewards you. Anything outside of that is not worth doing because the content doesn’t drop gear that’s worth the effort.
As someone running them with a Feral Druid, I can agree that this is an issue… not a world ending issue, but definitely an issue.
My irritation with them is more with visual clutter. The candle over the head visual is distracting and Bran casts some sort of heal periodically with a graphically intrusive effect that looks like Titan machinery. Eventually, I may tune my brain to ignore them but it’s going to suck until I do.
Most other problems I have faced has been the scaling roller coaster. As of last night, there was some improvement there, but I suspect it will take several weeks to get it smoothed out.
Maybe rogues are having trouble with delves, honestly idk.
I am personally having little to no trouble solo. The problem is blizzard is trying to balance scaling with solo and group play. Groups already have a gearing pillar. Make delves maximum one player and move on.
I believe they are talking about how tier 4+ bountiful delves allow a limited number of deaths to get the full rewards. People having been getting around this by quitting the delve if they run out of lives and starting over. But if someone didn’t do this but was determined to keep trying at the same tier, they might have to do delves over several days to complete their key runs.
I’ve been doing t8 solo and in a group of 3 the whole time through nerfs, buffs and changes. I don’t see the problem. It’s not easy mode but very doable. CC, Stuns, Interrupts. It’s not timed so you could wait until all of your cooldowns are ready before each pull.
