So why’d they write that Dagran made it when it was clearly designed for the Undermine goblin content?
Dagran made the Delver’s Dirigible mount from season 1. There was a whole quest where he shows it off to you and Brann. Nothing about it brings to mind goblins or Undermine, and it was added at launch, months before Undermine was.
The goblin-themed mount from season 2 is the Delver’s Gob-Trotter

What about Dagran tells you he’s an engineer?
He’s a clever kid with diverse interests. The goblin one is just efficient re-use of the original because they couldn’t be bothered to come up with a new mount for the patch.
Seems like you’re desperately searching for a reason to be annoyed by something that’s clearly fine.

Where’d he build the damned thing?
Brann just says it’s there, and that he built it.
Meanwhile Undermine is filled with workshops!

It’s one of those It’s a fun mount built by a known NPC
It’s not that deep. Silly thing to get worked up about when TWW has bigger issues than that going on.

Most of the time we spend expansion time building these up, you know?
What it feels like is that Undermine was originally intended to be a flyable zone – which explains why the ceiling is so damned high – but then they came up with dynamic… driving? And decided to make the zone about that.
But what about the dirigible, which was allegedly designed by goblins for the goblin zone in my alleged example?

The goblin version of the Dirgible wasn’t the one the built by Dagran. The Delvers Dirgible is the one your thinking of

They’re all skins of the same thing.
We have examples of goblins doing vehicle manufacturing.
We aren’t given any examples of Dagran doing it.
Just Brann telling us he did.

I don’t think he does. You just get the Dirgible once you unlock the achiev for it.
Actually might be onto something. The D.R.I.V.E. vehicle has a very pronounced lack of customization options, unlike the Dirigible. Even compared to that robo-cat mount in Mechagon it comes up short. Unless D.R.I.V.E. was concepted later in development, I would have expected it to plug into the rostrum like Dragonriding.

It doesnt have as much customization for the simple reason it is part of obsolete content next patch. The delver mounts are ever green mounts.
I was actually hopeing for something along the lines of Santos Dumont’s personal airship that the man built to go to parties with.
Not only was he a sexy god, but the man knew how to make an entrance.

The only thing I do undermine for these days is pvp crates and good god the ceiling is impossibly high for no reason at all.
Unless that reason is that flight was originally intended, anyway.
