Delver's "Dirigible" - Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Call Out Lies

It’s about time we had a chat about aerial vehicles.

When Azeroth first took to the skies, flight was achieved through cooperation between man and beast. Gryphons, bats, and wyverns lifted us up into a new age of vertical transportation, connecting disparate villages and communities. We fell in love with the sky.

As our love grew alongside our technological prowess, we invented new, mechanical means by which to soar, and it is these mechanical inventions that I would like to focus on today.

All mechanical air vehicles fall into one of two categories: Heavier-Than-Air (HTA) aircraft and Lighter-Than-Air (LTA) aircraft. HTA vehicles generate lift with the flow of air over an airfoil (eg. Wings). LTA vehicles float or fly by using a gas that is less dense than the air around them - the less dense gas being lighter than air.

Let’s take a look at the definition of the word Dirigible: " a lighter-than-air aircraft that is powered and steerable, as opposed to free floating like a balloon. Dirigibles include rigid airships (eg. Hindenburg), semi-rigid airships (eg. Zeppelin NT) and blimps (eg. Goodyear)."

In case I’m unclear - Brann and the delve community are LYING to us. this “Delver’s ‘Dirigible’” is NOT A DIRIGIBLE. It is a trashy HTA aircraft which requires thrust.

“But wait!,” I hear you say, “What about the Zeppelin transmog!”

Listen here you wax-eared candle sniffer: Calling the whole mount a ‘dirigible’ and only allowing it to BE a dirigible with ONE cosmetic that is unlocked at a later time is MADNESS. This whole thing is an EMBARASSMENT from Blizzard and I demand restorative justice. ALL current transmog for the dirigible must be deleted and redistributed so that all customizable options maintain it’s integrity as a dirigible airship.

I will accept no other remedy.
