Delve Vault is 100% bugged and does not work

I have completed 3x tier 9 delves, and 1 world quest

Now 2 out of my 3 Delve/World Activity vault choices are locked in at a tier 1

I mouse over the slot and it says “Complete a tier 2 or higher to increase your rewards”

I complete a +2 and the 1st slot went to a Tier 2

I mouse over the slot and it says “Complete a tier 3 or higher to increase your rewards”

I complete a +8 and the 1st slot went from a Tier 2 to a Tier 7

???

From where do you check your Vault? Because I see weird things when checking from inside Delves.

The vault tool tip for delves is completely misleading.

The rules are:

  • The first vault slot is unlocked at 2 delves, the second at 4, the last at 8.
  • When grouping completions into 2, 2 and 4, it always counts the lowest of the group (so when you run 9 & 8, the outcome is 8).
  • World activities like Theatre and Awaken the Machine count as tier 1 delves.

In your example, when you complete 8 and 7, you get 7 for the first slot. I would recommend to do another 3 tier 8 delves to fill the first two slots with tier 8 loot (you will want tier 8 rewards at least to receive hero gear from the vault, with 4 delves you get two choices).

It isn’t any different than dungeons. The UI just isn’t very good and makes it more confusing than it is. The 1st slot is based on your 2nd highest delve, the 2nd slot is based on your 4th highest and the 3rd slot on your 8th highest. If you want the best rewards do eight t8 or higher delves.

The min-maxers do these delves:

  • 1x t11 delve with map - to get guilded crests from map chest + t11 chest
  • 2x t11 delve without map - to get guilded crests from t11 chest
  • 5x t8 delve to fill up the vault

When you run out of keys you can use world soul memories and undercoins beyond the weekly quest 4 keys limit to obtain more keys.
