The Delve tier consistency is just all over the place. A tier 8 delve is not only inconsistent in difficulty across different delves, but even in the same delve for different stories. The boss in The Underkeep for instance is wildly more difficult in one story than another, on the same exact tier level. Why even have tier levels if they don’t indicate anything?
In order to have variety in them there is going to be some kind of overall “range” of difficulty. Kind of like dungeons. One +3 key won’t be the same as another +3 because of different bosses, trash, and mechanics.
They’d kind of have to have just one standard layout, boss, and trash mobs in each delve for them to all be equal. Don’t you think that would be kind of boring?
Delve difficulty isn’t consistent, especially for each class and spec.
I don’t notice a difference in difficulty for different stories. Which bosses are you talking about?
This I do notice. It has been fun learning what works though. I have been having more fun doing delves as Voidweaver Shadow than Archon Shadow.
Wait until you step into M+ and realize how wild this same issue can get.
Sounds pretty similar to dungeons, raids, and even PvP to me.
lol, I failed that boss in Underkeep yesterday on Tier 7 and I have been doing 8s without any problem up to then.
Braunn was being totally useless in there up to the last try but even then I missed something and got one shot.
Puppet master is easy in underkeep but that one yesterday with the frost totem and purple voids and webs is a lot more difficult. Even the one with the eggs is more difficult than puppet master.
While I find the Delves extremely easy, especially for the rewards, you’re not wrong.
I think it’s ok for different delves to maybe have different levels of difficulty because that’s how all content is, but it’s strange that the largest disparity can be between different stories in the same delve.
the best one is the one where you kill mobs first room, move to 2nd room area with a big ice circle and from there you can do the boss (this boss is super easy) compared to any of the ones that cause that same boss to stand in the middle of a bunch of random laser beams… i hate those almost more then the water delves
Researcher Ve’shk is a wall for some people in Underkeep.
One Enhancement Shammy I grouped with said he struggled on him solo despite being fairly geared for an 8.
yup that was the one we had yesterday/today.
Ah yeah. I feel like the most difficult part is positioning for that boss.
It’s hard to explain but next time you try doing that boss, try moving just outside of the void and ice thing on the ground he spawns so that you don’t step too close to the ice totems.
You could try fighting him against the walls but it’s risky.
I tried everything in there - I used up all but one death and just couldn’t stand trying him again and that was on T7 with an ilvl 605 feral. Brann just wasn’t helping at all in there, he was totally useless.
Ahhh, I never liked doing solo content as a DPS Druid. I feel like they’re too squishy. Maybe try doing it as Guardian with Brann as DPS? You might have an easier time.
I am very doubtful I would have an easier time playing a spec I never play. Being too squishy was definitely the issue though. If I had changed some of Brann’s curios around it might have worked better but the ones I normal use weren’t great in there with all the barriers. I almost got him the last time - he had no health and all of a sudden I was dead instead of him.
Guardian is braindead easy. Just keep up Ironfur. Barkskin is a 20% damage reduction on a relatively short CD.
If it helps, I did this guy on T7 with the Earthmother and Time-Lost curios.
I will just skip that one next time I get it. Just isn’t worth the aggro.
That works too. There’s a few I nope out of when I see it.
Been a while since I played frogger with the lobsters in the underkeep, tis always that totem lady with the oh so important interrupt. I was playing keep away so much yesterday I had to taunt her off healer Brann cause he got agro and was very close to doing his dang back flip right out the door.
