Delve scaling revealed, how did this happen?

So whether it was intended or not Blizz has really messed up with delve scaling as people have calculated the mobs do less damage and have less health in groups compared to solo.

Two questions, was this planned or is someone bad at programming?

Either way should Blizz adjust it to make them easier for solo players?

Grouped feels like the right difficulty. Solo does not.

That’s the thing, I wonder if their knee jerk reaction will be “quadruple the difficulty for groups.”

It should just be making the solo content easier, constant high unavoidable damage is not fun

All we know is if you want to play on ultra hardmode play a tank or healer and take 2x the damages compared to being in a group.

If that is their solution, then delves will be dead and no one except people who like ultra hard mode stuff will do them.

Because they’re trying to make Choreghast happen again. They’re trying to make islands happen again.

Those were never fun and the same goes for delves.

This feels like WoW Devs still hanging on to the old Dogma. It’s kind of like someone creating something they don’t want to create so they unconsciously sabotage it… or consciously…

WoW is no longer a cutting edge MMO… Just make fun rewarding content for all playstyles and it will do well… Stop gate keeping gear for certain demographics you don’t deem worthy…

Why the hell they haven’t tried to scrap scaling systems when they KEEP BREAKING THINGS is beyond me.

torghast looks like a masterpiece compared to delves.

Yeah delves had a chance to take the best parts from Torghast, scenarios, visions but instead thru seemingly took the most unfun parts and made them harder

And that is a sad fact. They cannot seem to do things like this correctly. Its just mess after mess.

Hands up everyone who saw their Blizzcon panel on Warfronts and thought oh cool, thats a bit like a live version of Warcraft 3, that could be fun!

I thought in my naivety, that WoW’s Delves would be a bit like ESO’s Delves, which are open world instances you can go into alone, with friends, with total strangers and just fight mobs, fight a boss, get goodies and leave. But they just had to complicate them and make them unbalanced. It’s just…frustrating.

Difference is though, (with some classes anyway) Torghast was actually really fun. You got more and more powerful as time went on. Islands were really fun because you could get cool looking mogs, pets, mounts, etc.

Delves…Lol no. You get a nice piece of gear at the end, but most of the time it’s something you don’t need or want, and you get 50g for your trouble as well. Delves are difficult, time consuming and barely worth the reward. There’s no power progression or anything, it’s just a straight up “I hope I don’t die” fest.

It’s actually kind of impressive how many broken things made it through beta. A beta that a lot of people paid to be in.

Ive seen alot of people on forums say they were reporting these things but nothing was ever done.

Edit: Well except the streamer concerns. Things that make you go hmmmm.

I don’t think it is intended. It doesn’t make sense, delves are already easy in a group, it wouldn’t make sense for them to be even easier in a group.

Getting clapped by Zekvir while trying Let Me Solo Him as prot is just awful.

I legitimately don’t think it would be possible as a prot warrior with any gear available this season without some crazy Brann exploit.

It doesn’t make sense. It’s worse than if it just didn’t scale at all but let you go in a group.
