Delve Rewards, Lets Talk

How is everyone feeling about the rewards coming from their bountiful chests compared to the challenge of getting to the chest in solo player scenario. Does this content meet the expectations of challenge vs reward philosophy or do you feel it is off balance? If the balance feels off, in which direction does it feel off? Is it not enough reward for it’s challenge or too little? If too little reward for the challenge would you make the rewards better or would you decrease the challenge? If too much reward for the challenge would you decrease the rewards, or increase the challenge?

Lastly what type of rewards ideally would you like to see come from Solo content that is in the same nature as delves?

Personally my experience has been good so far and think the challenge and reward dynamic is in the right spot even if motivation is lost after using all keys. . Although this is a personal experience based on my class, role, and specialization.

A bit much. Let 12 be the bar for this IMO.

Looking at my vault, my delve reward is higher than my Mythic Dungeon reward.

I feel it’s about fair. I likely won’t ever take the delve item ever so I do them just for fun.

It’s possible to be a set item, right?

And there are Haste+Mast pieces I can get, so there’s a non-zero chance I take one on Tuesday.

Sometimes the challenge is okay and manageable. Other times I feel like I just entered the 5th circle of hell and was transported to the town in From and everything is just about ripping me to shreds.

Delves give the best solo content rewards so far I’ve seen. You could get normal raid gear in SL though which was kinda cool and that was from just solo’ing or whatever via world stuff.

The toys, mounts, and custom mount is pretty cool, but the purchaseable 580 WUE gear is a complete ripoff imo.

I’m satisfied with t8s and the reward, and the rate of the reward, 4-7 keys a week.

But that’s at t8. Before t8, if people are grinding delves to get to raid level content, it’s too slow as the only avenue.

Note: talking solo delves. Unsure how group difficulty currently compares.

Yeah to be honest I still miss legion titanforging but to me this feels like a good compromise, it allows us to earn the rewards we get so it shouldn’t upset the people that work hard to get their stuff too much. Nor should they feel as compelled to interact with it as much as they was forced to participate with titanforging which was an endless grind people didn’t care for. Overall I hope we get to keep the same reward levels in the end, even if they adjust the difficulty so long as it’s within the realm of reasonable possibility for people to complete it solo it’s good to me.

I don’t hate it as much as some people do, but I do agree that titanforging is bad, time-padding design. It doesn’t respect a player’s time.

I greatly prefer our current currency situation.

Delves are way too slow for my taste, mobs simply have too much hp imo. As far as challenge go it’s still pretty simple mechanics and Zek’vir doesn’t have any phases which means you’re doing the same thing for 5 min. I don’t mind the rewards, maybe a bit too good/rng with maps giving 610 hero gear.

Well i know that i did 7s this week and drops are 597 and vault is 610 , that about a +4 key, and i didnt have to watch a tank sign up and cancel for like 10 mins so its good imo

What kind of content do you normally do? If you are doing mythic+ or raiding at a higher level then yes things are simple for you. For people that are not doing that delves hit a good point for them because it is a challenge for those with different skill levels.

Doing delves for no reward sucks.

All delves should always be bountiful, and keys should be plentiful. If they want this to be a “core progression pillar” then why is it gated in such an odd way?

Great Vault is over inflated ilvl for rewards from Delves imo.

It’s overinflated ilvl for m+ too.

Well considering you need a key for m+ to get loot, why would Delves not have keys ?

To be fair, when discussing rewards and challenge I think feedback from people that did and do other existing progression systems is valuable. I think Blizzards goal is to give us solo players a progression path similar to theirs so they would know better then us who don’t do those things if it hits that mark or not.

Are you under the assumption that M+ Keys are consumable?

They not ? Have you done m+ before ?

Yeah, they aren’t. Therefore, your analogy is senseless.

Maybe you should look into it more, but let say you have a 5 key, if you fail its gone, so you no longer have a 5 key

Stop it.
