Look at the delvers journal. They have to be unlocked first.

Delver’s journey rank two opens the possibility for bounty maps to drop in your delves. You cannot use a quartz or whatever it is to force a drop and you cannot get them randomly from any other source until you have progressed to rank two.

No and no. Not until you hit level 2 on the delve journey.

If I use Shrieking Quartz will the boss drop a map or do I need the second milestone first.
You need the lvl 2 in Journal, nothing else will work.
I’m Rank 0 and I had a Shrieking Quartz drop for me yesterday from a jar thingy I looted.
I’m waiting to use it though.

Yeah, the Delver’s Bounty item drops are locked behind the 2nd rank of the Delver’s Journey track. I think it can also drop from the end of Delve chest at least in Bountiful Delves, unsure about normal, besides dropping from the Nemesis mob for this season but that too is locked behind the same prerequisite.
You can use the Quartz (which summons the Nemesis mob) or encounter the Nemesis mob at random organically in a Delve but it has no chance to drop the Bounty until that rank 2 in the track is unlock. You’d probably be better off saving the quartz until that’s accomplished.

So after running 3 bountiful 11s its worse than I thought.
You need 6600 to the second milestone, but only get 300 points for each bountiful 11. So we have to do 22 bountifuls to get the maps…

So use alts or accept you can’t get a freebie hero track item until week 2-3 or whatever.
I’m going to go out on a limb and assume you are not anywhere near a RWF player and will thus live and the lack of said drop not be the singular reason content was not clearable.

If the Wowhead article is correct then alts doing bountiful delves seems to be the way. 250 per bountiful chest unlocked + what you get from the delve should make it go by… fairly… quickly.
May not be correct or I’m missing something. Did two bountiful 8s but only got 200 from each despite using a key.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how it is Blizzard seems to make delves a little worse each season. The addition of T11s and gilded last season were great, but a number of the other changes were uh… questionable. Now, in season 3, they’re just plain worse than they were in season 2. And for what?
Delves already had higher engagement than any of the other instanced PvE content types, and nobody in them was magically becoming super geared over night. If anything, these changes are going to decrease participation rather than increase it.
The delver’s bounty thing isn’t so bad, at least. You get four bountifuls a day, after all. People shouldn’t have to use alts if they don’t want to. You get four bountifuls a day, so you’ll have a hero track piece by Monday.

I don’t know because I’m checking out on this season. Going to need to find someone else to answer that.
Game is only getting worse from both a gameplay and story perspective. Gameplay is getting as bad as the story is. It’s clearly a race to the bottom on every form of content.

I think Brann might actually have gotten worse between yesterday and today, even. Maybe I’m just tripping, but he definitely seems to be targeting random groups of mobs way more often than before. I’ve also noticed him deciding to just stand there for good 5-10 seconds at a time.
It’s extra funny when you have four groups of nemesis mobs in one room, manage to get two groups without aggroing the other two, and he just decides he’s going to AoE the other two groups anyway.

I just completed 3x Tier 11 Bountiful Delves and completed the Weekly 3x Delve runs quest. I didnt notice something becoz I was just focused on the loots. Then went straight to M+2. I didnt know if I unlocked something. RoFL.
