delves don’t have their own progression, that’s the part you’re incapable of grasping. they are a handout system for wasting time, that brickwalls at gear you can only upgrade by high-tier m+ or heroic raids.
Ill give you a clue. Real life doesnt give you even close to ‘fair’, much less give you the opportunity to determine what others get.

delve gear would be overtuned if it even gave heroic gear

And it’s fine. Just don’t go and try to get the reward lowered to spite casual players. They aren’t you, oh almighty god of 20 year old game World of Warcraft… They do a few delves.

Who’s “trying to get it lowered to spite” anyone? It’s misbalanced progression.
Delve gear could reward m0 gear and it would still be too good for the content.
meanwhile regular dungeon gear doesn’t even let you into heroics.
why? because delve gear.
You say people aren’t “forced” to do them but the progression is ridiculous and it’s all to make their garbage handout content look cool and relevant.
So yeah, nobody’s buying that it’s good or fun just because you have 1 piece of vault loot that says “hero” on it.

And they nerfed timewalking too. Used to give same ilvl as Heroic dungeons. It’s why they’re dead content to me now, which was 1 of my favourite things to do to gear alts was run timewalking. Now 554’s = pointless = no point

the progression is broken and actually hurts players with less playtime in the long run because they messed up the ILVL reward to make delves look successful. full stop.
1 hour of dungeons shouldn’t be 40 ilvls less reward than 1 hour of an npc carrying you
