I mentioned in another thread a friend that mains holy (and only holy) priest and doesn’t like doing solo world content on that character, but this friend also loves her havoc DH, and would absolutely rock all the solo world stuff on that character. For this reason, and because no character can spend more than 4 keys a day, and that the sources are like 6 a week, I don’t see the harm in warbound delve keys. Maybe this will be a down the line thing, but I just thought I’d put it out there.
I support this. I have 14 keys on a toon I don’t intend to push high tier vaults on. It would be great to feed the keys to another toon who’s already gone through her 4-5 weekly keys so at least I’m getting a bountiful chest even if I intend to sell/shard the gear in it.
You and my holy priest friend would get along great, and I agree 1000%. I have a character to represent every spec, and yeah, I only filled out the healer-representing side of that when follower dungeons came into being. My pure healers don’t touch world content because, you know, I value my time.
As a healer since Vanilla… I will never understand people who purposely gimp themselves with this “pure healer” nonsense. All classes that can heal also do damage.
If keys were account wide, we’d get less keys.
This game doesn’t need to change for people who purposely make their lives harder when there are options.
Character concepts. As long as WoW does things like legion legendaries or hero talents, there is room to expect support for “this character clings to the concept/ethics of [insert spec here].”
OP didn’t like the response to their previous post asking how said character can get keys so they’re pleading their case to Bliz to have the game changed to suit them instead.
I’ve been a roleplayer since Vanilla, too. This is nonsense. You can have a character concept and not gimp yourself in gameplay.
Legion gave you access to all artifacts and the overarching storylines were for all specs for your class. Even the healer artifacts STILL had you doing damage while healing, so I don’t even want to hear that.
Hero talents are not special, nor story based, nada, nothing. They’re regular talent points they put into a little box, because it was easier than changing the trees to not allow people to use all of their points to fill the current bottom portion. Those talent points will end up in the regular tree probably next expansion.
RP however you like. But don’t expect the game to change because you refuse to use the options available to you.
And there we go: more proof the game does not promote “pure healer” stuff.
I am not entirely sure, but I’m sure Delver’s Journey is the same across all characters in a Warband/Account. And I think undercoin may be transferable between Warband characters. therefore, once the Journey is maxed out, undercoin can be traded to purchase gear and coffer keys for cheap by transfering undercoin about.
Honestly just make all the currency warbound. and increase crest drops. The trickle of crests when you need hundreds feels bad. Then when you do max an item out and only need valor stones……suddenly that 2k cap is at 0 even though we have been gaining valor for weeks but yet capped (can’t gain them!!)
the currency system could be opened up to higher numbers.
Op mentioned holy priest. Holy is basically a dps spec if specced for it. Missing an int but for delves/world stuff they will have chastise up constantly instead.
I do agree in general though. More healers should be able to do what holy does when they dont have to heal.
Same. My choice was to just not play priest anymore if my only choice on dealing damage was shadow.
Well, that is yet to be seen. If enough people decide that they don’t like and won’t use the options available, then the game needs to change, or it will die out. That’s part of a normal and healthy feedback loop, so that’s a good thing.
As for me (because I know you were worried about me) if I want to do the ‘Holy Damage beat up Some Bad Guys’ thing I’ll just play my Paladin and be super happy.
