Delve buff? No sense of character progression in this game anymore

Is it just me or does it seem like the mobs in delves got stealth buffed? Your ilvl goes up deep in to a patch, only to be stuck with the same TTK on mobs that you killed at launch with grossly lower ilvl. I was rolling them before Siren Isle patch and now im getting chunked for 30% of my health sometimes with 630 ilvl on +8s

This game has completely lost any sense of character progression since we keep being adjusted to scaling so we never feel “powerful” . Whats the point of going up in ilvl just to be scaled? Make it make sense

I’ve been playing this game since vanilla beta and right now seems to be the worst time I can remember for character progression never appearing, maybe i’m wrong? Would appreciate other peoples observations of the matter and how they feel with their characters

Haven’t had any issues with delves. Can do 11 fairly easily with a 605. Are you paying attention? Was it a certain mob known for hitting hard? Enraged?

No…?

Delves haven’t a bump to enemies in a while.

It was in Fungal Folly or whatever it is. Could mindlessly plow them the prior weeks and now all of a sudden they’re chunking me. Did it on my arms warrior and it just seems like my demolish isn’t doing too much compared to before the patch. I usually don’t pay attention given how much higher ilvl I am than the recommended but even if you adjust it to super low tier delves (3-5) the mobs seem to have the same TTK as tier 8-10 delves, from my experience lately when I was quickly finishing up a meta quest.

Idk how, I’m currently maining Arms and things fall over as usual.

Very weird. I don’t know. Kind of silly. I did a follow up in Spiral Weave and had no issue. Maybe its just Fungal Folly?

Fungal Folly I just use the spores, feels the delve is designed around blowing those up and not actually fighting

Eh, I think it probably varies depending on the delve it is.

Like in Spiral Weave, the puppeteer boss is a joke but the one in Skittering Breach during Shadow Realm story involves mechanics.

Also this, Shockwave is VERY effective for spores and enemies together.

Since Colossus has some synergy with Shockwave it is always wise to take advantage of that.

It for sure is. The elites in there are doing pre nerf waterworks numbers I feel like all of a sudden.

Yes, they have been doing this. Their logic is you gain power, so the mobs need to as well. I ran into this issue earlier in the season.

Glad i’m not the only one to see this.

This design makes ZERO sense. We grind gear to become more powerful for the season, only for the mobs to get boosted with us weeks in to the season so we never see any sense of character progression, making the ilvl upgrades we grind for pointless.

This buff for them should only occur when a new season begins to balance it out, when we start our gear grind again.

It makes zero sense because it doesn’t happen. Even in that post they linked there are ppl who hasn’t noticed anything different in them.

Either misplay is at work or people not understanding how this works. There was a KSH player who falsely claimed Zekvir scales per ilvl when he doesn’t. Difficulty is likely to vary from story to story and delve to delve which is a possible factor, that’s why I compared the puppeteer boss in SW to the one in SB during Shadow Realm story.

When you have 4 warriors all using the same spec, and at that time within 5 item levels and are doing a combined over 20, tier 8 Delves a week, you are able to take notice to changes.

There’s your problem then.

Delves scale per player, more players = more HP and damage dealt.

I have 4 warriors. I run them solo.

And there are also people saying they did notice and also people complaining about the same exact instance, Fungal Folly.

I run them solo as well. Never even done a group delve since launch.

This does happen, as Bgored mentioned. Blizzard has come out in prior xpacs and admitted to this random scaling.

Or you’ve started hearing voices in the walls

And I’m still not sold on the fact it takes longer. I could round up enemies on my Fire Mage in Earthen Caverns during a proper setup melt them.

So I’m convinced misplay is at work. You could always take off your armor and see does the HP change, that’ll easily debunk that theory.

People are also noticing their Brann is losing dps as hes leveling up when hes supposed to be getting stronger, in that thread.

They’ve only said that for open world as far as I’m aware.

I’m also aware the average WoW player doesn’t like to make the best use of their class and easily think things are being pitted against them all the time.

Funny enough, I have seen Brann pull over 1mil DPS in a Volley which was surprising. I think Brann DPS is a hit or miss and he’s ultimately only good for Kill Shot at 30% imo.
