I’m almost exalted with Zandalari/Proudmoore on my Death Knight (Alliance) and Demon Hunter (Horde). I’ve also either completed or have almost completed the Kul Tiran and Zandalari Trolls unlock quest chains. Once I have unlocked the 2 new races can I delete the characters I unlocked the races on and still have access to the new races? For instance if my level 120 Death Knights name is Kade….can I delete him and create a Kul Tiran Druid with the name Kade on the same server? Can I delete my Demon Hunter named Vice and create a Zandalari Troll Paladin named Vice on the same server? Or if when I delete my exalted characters are the new races no longer unlocked? Keeping the names I like to me is more important than leveling another Death Knight or Demon Hunter…which is not hard to do.
The unlock is account wide. So once they are unlocked, they are unlocked forever.

I would guess they stay unlocked. That being said, it seems like a waste to delete 2 max level characters with reps. If the name was that important to me I would probably just buy name changes.

Why dont you use the name change? Change the 120 name, than create a new char using the previous name. You can do it for gold if paying real money for the change is an issue.
You will still have them unlocked since the unlock is an account wide achieve.
Name changes are cheaper than losing all that time you spent leveling to 120. Time is money friend.
