9.3 would mean a very long expansion and Bobby will want his box sales so . . . . .

Look on the bright side, the trailer for the FF14 expansion that comes after Endwalker is looking good!

To be fair, the 2020 pandemic should throw normal schedules off, for everything shouldn’t it?

Well if 9.1 comes out in June/July… that would mean 9.2 in January… then 9.3 in August 2022 and the next xpac in February/March 2023?

Similarly to other threads, I sincerely hope they WoD this expansion and let us advance to the next

What does it mean to WoD an expansion? I’ve seen this said a lot but I don’t understand. What did Blizzard do to WoD?

They basically ditched the last 3rd of the expansion to make the next one phenomenal.

No matter how many times I check in on the forums I am seeing more frustration posts than I ever have before. I quit due to some really strong arguments.

I just pray they draw me back in someday. Shame cause I’ve played since launch.

Blizzard stuffed up the release of WoD and its content patches so they decided to hard-abort it after one significant patch and put all their effort into Legion, which ended up having major content patches every 2-3 months for its entire duration.

People who are saying there isnt a 9.3 are only speculating and trying to narrative build that this is WoD 2.0

Until Blizzard openly says there isnt a 9.3, there is going to be a 9.3

Pretty much have a content draught that last over a year ;).

But would you be surprised if they did?.

Actually yes. Since BFA has a 8.3 and I think BFA was the second worst expansion in the game.

It’s happened before and they haven’t exactly been good on decisions lately.

Lmao

Legion was garbage and broke at least half of the mechanics of the game.
It had a decent story and…that was it.

Ya’ll who sung the praises of Legion are either just nostalgic or didn’t actually play it from release.

Legion’s release issues make the complaints people have about SL’s look petty.

People don’t care about anything but how something effects them.

They don’t care that a global pandemic has practically put the world on hold, they don’t care that people have been unable to go back to their workplaces in almost a year.
All they care about is that they haven’t received their patch update when they wanted it.

It’s all pretty petty really.

Literally once, two expacs ago.

Like as much as I know doomsayering SL is good for karma points – if BFA had a .3 patch – SL will mostly have one as well.

I honestly never understood this hype for legion either. It was the first expansion I ever took a break from because the first half of the expansion was horrible. It did eventually get better but that’s when BFA was right around the corner.

Yes ONCE, which means it’s happened before.

Oh I’m plenty petty-pissed myself, but remembering some of this year’s why helps take the sting out.

I think this company is ruined and will never again release a quality expansion, but in 2020, they had external troubles too.

Edit: Complete aside - How in the heck does my forum character keep changing? I’ve posted as three characters today and I like keeping it to one… my original main.

Yes once, where the expansion was screwed over because management wanted to redesign WoD as it was like 70% completed and nearing release.

Like can we stop acting like a longer patch wait indicates no 9.3 – like take the tin foil hat off bro.

You would maybe have a point if 9.1 had literally the same zero content that 6.1 had.
